I like your minimal approach but there's reasons why it's
such a difficult area to master.

I wouldn't mind the same track but with every odd percussive
hit being a little different, even if slightly. Stuff I
wouldn't notice at first. Levels, left or right channels, a
smudge of echo here, slightly more warmth there. Multiple
layering that's not necessarily blatant.

When you do something like that with so little elements, you
have to make sure you do a lot of shadow work.

Keep it up, son.

You shouldn't need me to "remind" you then.

I might as well give you this little bit of advice too:

Fuck people who give you advice on how to make your tracks.
Seriously. When you spam it should be to see if people dig
your tracks or not. Don't let anyone tell you what to do as
the point is for you to sound like yourself and not like the
multitudes of generative wankers out there.

I tried not to tell you what i thought was wrong with your
track but ended up doing so. Honestly when sometimes just
replies to tell you the snare should be like this and maybe
that synth could do with this being done, tell them to fuck
off!

the aim is always to produce something that doesn't bore

i can understand the advices

Man, seriously. Just with what you have you can make great
stuff. It's just a tool, and once you know it inside out you
can make unique sounding stuff.

I know many people who have tons of gear and still make
relatively yawn-inducing music.

Not that long ago to make and produce music you needed
either a substantial advance from cunts who believe in you
because they hope to cash in, or you needed to be loaded.

i know what you mean for yawn-inducing music, i would be
glad to put my hands on some gear someday. it's difficult to
make music sound unique with logic, there seems to be more
variation on beats that come out from real synths as far as
i've seen on youtube videos

Don't wait for new gear though. Really work your way around
logic which offers plenty.

Sometimes you get a new piece of gear thinking you will now
really step it up and end up feeling defeated.

Do you have a midi keyboard?

If any musician 50 years ago or more was given what you
have, with the possibilities it holds, his or her head would
have exploded.
