"Syrobonkus" is Japanese for "Popcorn Fart"

your a popcorn fart+bitter dude

Put the hate you have for afx into making your music better,
as it's very average sounding.

why put any effort into music? i'll never make any money off
of it. it will be ignored or pirated by the same people who
constantly suck the cock of a spoiled millionaire who
complains that releasing albums is ~hard~ and takes him away
from his $20k serge modular and five studios and russian vag

don't give up.
When you hate something it just makes you weaker.

i put it quite plainly on this very message board not but a
few weeks ago: i'll be fussing about with music and synths
until i die. what's dead is my desire to take it seriously;
to whip myself on it way beyond where i enjoy it. i have a
lot of experience under my belt and perhaps i could have
gone somewhere with it, but without that level of personal
sacrifice it has a snowflake's chance in hell of going
anywhere. it was never about fame or riches so much as
having that effort pay off to the point where it simply
covers rent. writing code is a lot less hassle; no point
sharing music that's halfassed wank. i spent years buying up
hardware carefully, and now that it's all drifting off, i
don't see myself buying it up again unless i win the lottery
or something. and i'm not that lucky...

if mr. james considers syro "pop" he should listen to mr.
freeland's album "now & them" and have a deep constipated
sob in his scottish outhouse.

\Yep, listened to that Freeland album, cycling to work a few
times, I really liked the sentiment of it but style was a
bit too rock sounding for my tastes, its quite nice though,
vocal were my least fave part, not the vocal samples.
Would like to hear Aphex remix that soul one!
And nice orb like vibes.
Thing is with the 'we want your soul' as good as it is, it
could never be that big because it's too direct, the plug
would be pulled one way or another, have faith in subversive
frequencies ma man, it is spreading and will get bigger, be
patient, keep doing what you do.

Thing is though, Freeland is bringing up mind control issues
and your here saying you want another human being to cry,
What wrongs has the twin done to you to justify that kind of
vindictiveness?

You gotta shake that jealous nasty streak you have there, it
sounds like it's eating you up. Do you want to be a negative
person or positive?
If it's negative, then I'm sorry, if positive, Id like to
support you where possible, even if its just giving you
constructive criticism with your music or buying your music,
I think it's promising and you are bright( sorry if I had a
dig before ) , don't waste yourself man with all this
negativity, the world is full of it, drag yourself out of it
and spread some mother fucking love!

i meant that if rdj thinks syro is pop, he is deluded, and
here is a proper pop album to foment a return to reality
etc... and from there on out i was just trying to write a
nice sentence. sad sob scottish alliteration blah blah. in
any case, why would he care what i think, let alone go to
tears over it? why even assume he reads my stupid
blathering? i suppose it's possible; i just figure he has
better things to do.

it made me pretty mad that he said, "releasing an album is a
lot of work, the fans don't even realize." what, like no one
else has ever spent months fussing over mastering and track
order, trying to whittle a pool of 50 tracks down into
something that flows? most people don't have warp to do all
the logistics, either. promotion, web sites, merch,
whatever. then, after doing it all on their own, few can
make a living off music. this is not rdj's fault in the
slightest, but for him to get up and say "boo hoo, poor me"
is, at best, remarkably insensitive. all he has to do is
show up and people will give him shit.

syro is a good album and i'm genuinely glad for more aphex,
but it's 4/5 material; drukqs mops the floor with it. there
are so many better albums that have come out in between
drukqs and syro, too (i.e. clark's albums).

as for me, the past year of my life has been hell. i haven't
written a damn thing since january, and i'm selling off most
of my gear to bail myself out financially. again, this is
not rdj's fault, but the timing of it all has me pretty
upset. it's not that i want to be negative; it's that i
don't have anything but crap in my life right now. i'll get
through it eventually, but for the moment, it's all i can do
to get out of bed every morning and resume plugging leaks;
bailing out the ship. it gets very hard for me to not go off
on people. i've been trying to stay off the net because i
know i'll probably wind up ripping on people.

pepe -- i don't care if you use my real name, but i have no
idea who you are or how you know it, so you're kind of wei

selling gear off sounds pretty depressing, but good side is
you don't need any of it anyhow, just do all on pc from the
skip, just be sure to make loads of samples/recordings.
I think it's a mistake and a really weird thing about modern
life where everybody makes up their mind about people in the
media, how can anyone know what anyone is like unless they
have met them.

I mean I do it all the time with politicians and such but
unless you meet someone, you never know what they are really
like.
It's different if you see people in video interviews, you
can get a whole load more info but even then, an interview
is a pretty unusual situation from everyday life even for
people used to it, they turn on different characters I would
imagine.
But if your reading an interview about someone, you can
guarantee the journalists are not going to write it up
accurately, they are going to exaggerate things and
basically write the story most of the time, before they even
asked any questions.

everything i've put out on riced out records has been live
mixed on an analog mixer; all hardware. nothing but a stereo
recording in the end. gone once i shut off the gear i sold;
the sh101 has no patch memory and having a pg300 made using
the alpha juno's patch memory merely annoying. i quit VSTs
back in 2008 for a reason, and i have no desire to go back
to that bullshit. if/when i do start bothering with music
again, it will be some custom shit on linux; a half dozen
bits of freeware glued together with ruby and bash. 2019
sounds about on target.

working out (because that's free) and thinking about all
this still; figured i should clarify: by "bothering again" i
mean taking a serious stab at it, as opposed to just wanking
around on the modular i built on some future saturday once i
can afford weed again.

Because spreading good vibez through music is spreading
happiness. If even for a few minutes. That's why it's
worth it.

It's about you and how much you care. It's not about others.
Don't let them be an excuse to stop doing what you love, and
doing it well. Unless you simply think you're shit, and
again, that's not other people's fault.
