please. no i am not "richard" and quite frankly the guy is coming off as a huge TWAT with his handling of this caustic window mess, letting people like joyrex run around and take all these interviews and talk like he wrote it himself, I cant tell if he's just clueless from being so separated from the current generation of kids, and thinks that "everythings cool, the kids like me" or if he's just way too busy and rich to give a fuck, probably the latter, but that still doesnt make him a huge cunt for it

ok not richard,
guess i figured all rdj ever had to do was put up a single web page and maybe type up half a paragraph every few months -- "no i don't have a new album steve beckett is just mouthing off" etc. and we would have never reached this level of steaming bullshit. too many years of silence has caused people to start brewing up their own turd soup of rumor and panic. if rdj had actually poked his head up every now and then, he wouldn't be in a position of having joyrex represent him and watmm represent his fans. i don't blame joyrex at all; caustic window essentially just fell into his lap....

It feels like some relic that has been dug up on time team, I hope they commission a episode of 'cash in the attic' when Richard dies.
I think it helps if you don't give a shit what other people listen to, yeah its a bit annoying that some prick with a goatee beard fawns over music he quite clearly doesn't listen to, but that applies to most things in life.

It's because he was able to cluelessly buy this stupid hipster-bait caustic window LP, which sounds like shit, for 50k, to act all cool with it, because he got filthy rich off of some stupid shit-for-graphics game that, artistically, gets shit on from a great height, by aphex twin's worst works.

Remember this is the same guy who tried to make a huge statement by cancelling his VR version of minecraft when Oculus got bought out by Facebook. What a guy. I'm sure with this purchase he's probably hoping that he'll get his foot in the door to have aphex twin write tracks for his new minecraft game.
Based on this caustic window LP fiasco, I'd say that would be pretty easy. All he has to do is offer up his crusty anus with dingleberries on the hairs for Richard D. James to come over and lick just like he did for Joyrex.

Yes trolling is not amusing, the only thing you find amusing is pointlessly defending shit-ass music no one would ever enjoy sober and no one cares about other than burned out 40 year old ravers, feeling cool for it, and just being a huge schmuck in general.

I think it needs to be more of an ass-gape shape, though I have just spent a productive two minutes trying to do the Aphex symbol with my fingers. It can be done!
Today, and this is true. I am working in the office with these lovely girls and they asked me what music I liked and I tried to explain what I like and we ended up putting Aphex Twin into Spotify (literally) and so we've had a pleasant afternoon listening to a selection of his standards. Young girls dig him too, they've not hated it, they've not turned it off despite me repeatedly saying "put something else on now" so boo to djsoftcock. YOU KNOW NOTHING!

In one of the interviews he did for Analord, he mentioned "filling in the gaps in his collection" or something. I got the impression he's rather organized about it, but not OCD to the point of being beyond rearranging sean booth's record collection as a joke. Caustic Window is a collection of noises and synth patches and techniques or something, then he has other zones, laptop drukqs, analord acid etc. and I figure he has things sorted so the zones don't jumble up, and so he can resume work on it later, if the mood hits him. That's my read of it, anyways, but maybe I'm just projecting my own ideas onto fings

True story from my art school daze: So fucking in Color & Design class, year 2000, we're all just sitting around and doing our shit or whatever. Then someone is looking through an albino dude's sketchbook, and there is this mean looking face drawing on one page (it's the Richard D James Album cover face). I comment on the album cover drawing (pleased to see another fan of da underground), and the browsing person asks what that is... The albino dude who drew it replies: "The Aphex Twins... They're like a techno group."
I
SHIT
YOU
NOT.
That right there, I imagine is the pain that some of you are feeling with regards to "hipster" popularity of RDJ or random kids with no taste or whatever.
But with all this cognitive dissonance and shit going on, just listen to 4, and you will feel better.
Fuck the poseurs, fuck the mofoz who do things to be trendy or whatever. RDJ has output some classic works, and that is what's important.
I first heard Come To Daddy and Flim when doing set painting for a Show Boat school musical in 11th grade.
"Never forget."
How dare any of you let your tastes be tainted by those with questionable taste... DO YOU HAVE TASTE OR NOT MUTHAFUCKA?!
