I'm racist against my own German heritage it's true. It's ironic when you think about it. Early euro electronic music was stiff, and you can picture rigid nazi marches and seig heils along with stuffy british libraries and brown leather chairs being imposed onto a synthesizer. But then Detroit and Chicago came along and added flavor and exported it back over the pond where it would find its more permanent home. Then Dopplereffekt was a sort of Andy Kaufman-esque reversal of the whole situation. |
