album on youtube of the week #2 on our second week on album on youtube of the week we stay in the world of new age music but this time it is a different direction. this week our album is.... powerplay was released by INNOVATIVE COMMUNICATION, the label founded by klaus schulze. it was released in 1987 and its megabytes first album. like many of the IC artists megabyte hide behind psuedonyms and this album is credited to being written by "amanda mega" and "billy byte". they are actually ppl who are being some other names like quiet force and g.e.n.e. powerplay has lots of groovy world music rhythms and atmospheric syths and some cool 80s guitar lines. cuz of the rhythms and synth melodies i think this album would appeal 2 the fans of early idm music like b12 and black dog as long as they have open minds. this is the kind of new age that i see the biggest connection with idm music with do u like this album? or dislike it? tell your thoughts!! |
