The last thing I bought from Squarepusher was back in like 1996, I bought that "budokan microphone" vinyl or whatever it was, and thought I was going to get this awesome set of acid breaks and aphex twin style futuristic sounds or whatever, man what an incredible disappointment, it sucked so hard, and it was the last 10 dollars I had to my name. I remember being extremely disappointed and felt like I had been ripped off, and wondered where all the "good tracks" really were. Turns out I was in for a big surprise in the fact that only about 10-15% of squarepushers tracks are actually the kind that I like, the rest seem to be filler jazzy crap that others might not mind I find extremely boring and would never pay money for it. It's really unfortunate that artists these days have all these lucrative contracts and they get away with shitting out 90% of their tracks and actually work hard on like 2 out of the 15 tracks on their albums, the rest is just complete shit and they do it just to get paid. For the most part, from what I've heard, most artists these days cant even make those two great tracks without paying someone else to ghost write it for them. |

Most music that comes out these days, to me, is all "Budokahn microphone". I havent heard a commercially produced track that I actually would be willing to pay for since analord. Even with the analords, I felt ripped off, cause there is only like 4 or 5 good tracks out of all of them. I bought that stupid piece of crap analord binder for all the vinyls, what a fucking waste of money. That was the very last time I ever spent money on music. The shit that comes out these days, with record company executives raking in cahs and getting rich, and us poor shitbag consumers get shit on day in and day out with shit music that is all filler crap and nothing good, everything is budokhan mindphone quality, just complete shit, and fake ass artists like de antword all so cool and loved by all the hipsters, just makes me want to kill myself, and its so obvious that there is a complete dearth of talent in the music industry, everything that comes out is just shit and nothing more, no one who is involved with the industry is willing to change, because they all have jobs in it and their livelihood depends on keeping the machine going, regardless of the fact that is merely a shallow concept of what true music stands for. pathetic |

It's like the artists who are getting paid to produce this music feel like they're too special to actually work hard, almost as if since they have a record deal, it entitles them to not give a fuck and not even try to make good music, like fuck everyone, i have a record deal now, i dont have to try and people dont deserve my work. When the reality is that they are actually getting paid, and taking people's money, to do jack shit and further the pile of shit that is modern electronic "music".
