i found selection sixteen in a store, and found it to be alright, but that last track, the ceephax mix, is very very very good.
i've never bothered listening to ceephax - has he done other stuff that resembles that sp-remix? any particular release to check out?

Slightly reminds me of vladijenk and parallax drome.
I love ceephax. Since I think you often like mellow music, here's nordic house.

yea, ceephax is great junktion!
he has this crazy side that makes him hilarious but sometimes not focus to much on complex compositions but on the fun of the musics. but when he goes serious he makes some pretty amazing stuff. check track emotinium (the whole acid emirates is great) or his last album cro magnox.
both of his bipolar personalitis are great, he makes always the best melodies that makes you jump, feel or laugh.
i think the more similar album to the tune youve posted is Exidy Tours, surely done arround the same time...

that ceephax mix is brill, the track closest to this might be track no6 from squarepushers burning´n tree imo, because of the similar fashion the 303 line kicking in around 3 min mark gives me goosebumps in both tracks. in 2000 when i got around to hear them i saw this as a favorable direction for drum´n bass to develop into, because it worked rather well for me. that 7" still makes me turn up the stereo to its max :)

IMO Ceephax these days has surpassed his brother in excellence, interesting fun releases and most of all, in terms of live gigs (Ufabulum liveset was one of the most boring gigs I've ever seen).
Cro Magnox > Ufabulum
Ijonspeches: 7"? What 7"?

I think ijonspeeches is talking about male pill 5 off of Burningn'n Tree (he suggested a similar squarepusher track rather than a similar ceephax track).
(Like hangjas, I really enjoyed Cro Magnox, and have eagerly anticipated ceephax's releases the past few years.)
BTW another very fun remix by ceephax is of Kerrier District - Sho U Rite.

Cheers sneakattack, I was already searching for a mysterious 7" I never heard of.
This thread had me relisten Selection Sixteen and Music Is Rotted One Note, I forgot how much I love those albums. Fits perfectly with the spring feels I get from the weather here.
Back to the OP question, that Ceephax mix is really in the style of his two Rephlex albums Retape mentioned. Those were a perfect introduction to Ceephax for me after I heard that one track in the AFX/Vibert Pukkelpop set.

sneakattack: yes, that was the track i was referring to :) with 7" i meant the ceephax mix released on the b-side of the "anti-greylord protection scheme prelude" which actually is a 10" and came with selection16 (10WARPLP72) which was hell of a release..
