What is the ROBOT super intelligence?
Either it is that robotic intelligence that's so badass that it upgrades itself like in the technological singularity?
Or is it much more human based but more flawed at the same time?
What is more gigantic? the human global wisdom or the human personal deviancies...?
HOW TO PUT IN A SIMULATION : ALL THE HUMAN ACHIEVEMENTS IN PARRALLEL OF ITS DEVIANCIES?
I cant wait to see how the "one neuron precise" mind simulation looks like given the billion dollars put in it in the present time.
MANIPULATED WALT DISNEYRY ? PURE EVIL TONGUE OUT OF MOUTH MILEY CIRUS ?
LET'S SEE IN 2023.

IMAGINE THE SIMULATED MIND NOT ONLY HIGHER BUT ALSO LOWER THAN ANY HUMAN STANDARDS. BECAUSE OF ITS INTELLIGENCE HE WOULD AUGMENT THE ENTIRE SPECTRUM OF POSSIBILITIES FROM THE GREATEST TO THE worst possible

i find transhumanism a la ghost in the shell and deus ex: human revolution a very seductive idea. all sorts of horrible ways it could go wrong and destroy/enslave us, though, and that's if we even get that far.... it may be way harder to simulate the brain than anyone realizes; maybe there's some quantum shit going on etc... like, in the 60s, with computers finally costing a mere $100k, scientists at MIT proudly announced they'd have "artificial intelligence" well cracked + sorted within a decade. 50 years later, the best we have is an infuriating robot phone assistant used to save large companies money.

I'm asking because as a deviant pedophiliac I wonder HOW COME A SIMULATED MIND IN SILICON CHIPS WOULD POSSIBLY LIKES PREPUSCENT GIRLS SINCE THEY DONT CARE AT ALL ABOUT REPRODUCTION BECAUSE THEY ARENT SILICON CHIPS?

I appreciate and like science achievements but My gut feeling keep telling me we are headed towards big desillusion in this field, that our capacity to analyse things may well "explain all" but at the same time left ourself VERY unsatisfacted. IMO it's not only a problem of quantum mechanics, it's the way you look at it. Do you think yout mind, ideas, are processed out of chemical reactions in your heads??? or do you think your mind, spirit, provokes this activity of your brain...? personnaly i believe the second possibility..., still interested by official science, but only to see what sort of gigantic monster they come up with....

i actually would say i'm more like like a giant analog delay line, with the feedback cranked up enough to keep it from petering out into nothing. new information feeds in through my senses, and adds to the swirl. i have some bandpass filters i can apply to adjust the course of fings. the senses themselves all have a phase-locked-loop sort of mechanism to make sure the incoming waveforms are in phase with my brainswirl.
on brain simulation: i feel like the dance and rhythm of the information will wind up being just as important as the dead structural roadmap they're fixated on now. i also feel we live in rather exciting times; the human genome project amazed everyone by finishing way ahead of schedule. we've just scratched the surface of what we can do with current levels of computation, and quantum computers are finally starting to become a reality as well. that disillusionment you speak of may come, but i put it a few decades out at least...
however, while this will give us a new window into the mind and any number of other things, there's no guarantee we'll be able to make any sense of it any time soon.

basically you are a believer in the future (will be awesome) and i'm not (am desperate about it). =)
Not speaking about delay lines, what do you think about the mind/spirit ? is it above the brain or under????

the delay line analogy was my answer to your mind/spirit question. i will try to put it more clearly:
set up a long tape delay with a stable level of feedback and a microphone to capture input. set it up in a busy room and leave it for a few hours. have a team of scientists come in, examine it, and build a precise duplicate of the hardware. then, they turn it on, and wonder why it's not making the same noises as the other one...

when your brain goes into a computer, what happens to your body? is it simulated? can your simulated body fart? knowing humanity, i wager it will be able to fart, and furthermore, to make it feel like the real deal, we will spend billions on bowel simulations.
what happens when your virtual bowel gets a computer virus? or a chinese rootkit?

i was just thinking, known could be a synonym for the computer verb while, plus a slight existential twist. i haven't been following the autechre name games, though, so that might be quite off.
