It's funny how every time i post something in here, it's
first of all mostly with some sort of narcissistic tendency
of a "look what i got here" mood. The lack of reply then
pushes me towards the whole "fuck those guys", and "fuck
those guys, and I'm gonna tell them! (secretly trying to
provocate a click on a link)". Then it turns into "well, the
board is kinda dead, and those in here rather talk about
something that I feel I can't put myself into, cause I'm not
british or american, or whatever". Ending mostly in "don't
mind me, just bumping this topic for no particular reason".

Not being hateful or slagging off your music, but I'll tell
you honestly what I did: clicked the link, played the first
track, listened to what must have been less than 2 seconds,
skipped to about 1 minute in, another second or two of
listening, closed the tab.

but they (we) used to be, right? i've heard loads of tracks
on this board back in the days, and still have most of it. I
even have folders upon folders of music, that was never
released, because face it; none of us twats actually have
enough talent, to ever make any kind of breakthrough. This
board is a proof of that, cause the if the time wasted on
xlt-points was put into record-production, we would make
Aaron Funk's discography look like nothing.
it really doesn't matter that I can't get through to any one
of you anymore - my communication is probably messed up, and
mostly I'm high or drunk when i'm sitting here typing. What
does matter is that there's none of you that show more
intuitiveness than the average share-this-for-no-reason
facebook'er. You guys just pour out shit from your brain
like it was a brown gooey icecream, that had to be thrown
away on a hot summer day, so you just drop it in here, cause
any real person confronted with such thing, would
characterize you as a nutjob. Most comments in here are
rubbish foggy non-communicative bullshit - like you're
afraid that your well-deserved xlt-coolness will perish by
the mere glimpse of a personality. And bumping year-old
topics with fart-text and dubturbo - what the fuck is that?
It's like a wasteland of maggots that is the only live thing
in here. I just don't get it, and frankly my dear, i don't
give a rats ass.

The place we once knew as xltronic, is now the urinal of a
minority.

i'm not sure about that. living in denmark really cheated me
out of any cool musical upbringing. importing a cd in a
danish store in the nineties, was expensive, tentative and
often with no result at all. and without any source of
electronic music in the danish media (except for Thomas
Knak, that showed how to sample the sound of a microphone
wrapped in plastic, thrown into a bucket of water, and then
make sound out of it through a Roland sampler, on live tv in
96 or so). i was lacking the mothers milk, and i was just
such a late comer to the world of warp records - i didn't
get my hands on aphex' stuff until '99 or so.
so i'd rather be british for the culture that followed.

Firstly - almost everyone on here is very very very mean to
each other.

secondly - if this music has been released 10 years ago on
rephlex - it would be cool, right ? well, i think that it is
still cool, great job !! just because it is self released and
not being marketed like any other commercial release doesn't
mean it is bad and worthless..

it is just the times we live in .. everyone seems to be so
egomaniac toward one-self..

I don't know.. i too think this place was all about music
and sharing, not some place where you shit on each other..

good music Junktion, don't pay attention to all the morons
around you and keep doing whatever you love the most.

peace

Good words. Thanks.

i think if you've seen the board in the days of 2002-2004,
you would have seen a more about the music. It was the Aphex
Twin forum before it became xlt, which had a whole other
glow to it. Not to say changing it to xlt was dooming the
glory-days, but more that you actually met people in here on
a friendly basis.

i think the audience usually yell "this is trance!", while
the look at me with eyes that looks like i just took their
milk-money, before leaving dissatisfied and grunting,
although the show was free.

I'm just being mean. Anyone these days that [spams] on
Xltronic must be so riddled by self loathing, and lacking
any other potentially constructive audience, that just
letting these threads die, uncommented on, is really an act
of kindness.

actually, you're kinda right. I don't use facebook for
posting anything - it's kinda like a dogma i've been doing
all year. I have a clean wall. Which inevitably made me go
her more, so yeah - riddled by self loathing and with no
other online outlet.

The music's fine, I did actually listen to the whole track,
which is some kind of Internet record. I don't know what
people do these days? So much noise out there. Enough
signal?

Try to have sex with a celebrity and get known that way.

I feel that pushing noise to ears is making my tinnitus act
differently, so pushing it to healthy ears, is something I
have no feeling of. You probably have to be half deaf to
enjoy this.

I listened. Honest opinion, it's not bad but you're about
20 years too late and it sounds too bright and sharp. Needs
analogue muddiness to work, it sounds too digital, if that
makes sense.

Have you got anything in the works...I was listening to your
prophylactic album last week and it sounded as fresh as the
day it was released...but something new would be nice...10
years it a long time (unless I've missed something in the
meantime?)

Aww thanks! I mess around every day but I don't know how to
release things anymore. I don't like the elitist expensive
releases that make it financially viable, it just feels
wrong. I've just enjoyed playing live in nice places with
my mate doing the lights. Thanks again though, I can listen
to it now as it was such a long time ago and tell me self
off or give myself a slap on the back now!

moaning about it all :)
