this track has a little thing going on where reznor is all ~satellite~ with some vocal chords. this is the call in a call and response pattern. the response is a reverby ping, that starts with sort of a wiggly swoop, arguably the satellite coming up over the horizon, before it goes PING and the azimuth over teh ur hed. given the general sense of 3D space reverb gives me, i am mad at myself for not thinking of this shit first for my "Spaceport" EP. consequently, i must conclude that reznor is not washed up yet. |
