I hope the whole thing is better than that Hau hau haunted single.
.....well, "hope" is a bad word here - after that lame family project with the wife I don't really care and don't really believe he can match Slip - while that one, being very good [I even bought it], wasn't his finest effort. what's the point in babbling about "last NIN tour" and going all Rob Smith about it ? Soon or later money would be needed and NIN would have to come back to provide for the Reznor family. Am I wrong

the slip was great! not just the music but it felt like a proper album.
i've heard it once and was rather underwhelmed. the free mp3 "copy of a" is lovely thou.

the live show has a somewhat of Talking heads "stop making sense". i like it. there's a tour rehearsal recording available.

I'm digging the album, though most of the songs really are alike if you look at the arrangements. Especially all tracks where Trent sings, and then echo-loops through the next line. It can seem a bit "cheap", when there's 3 of those tracks before you reach the albums mid-point.
"Copy of A" is definitely one of the most energetic tracks from NIN in a long time, and it's only issue being that it's the only one track this album, that reaches that energy. Two more of those, and we would have been in a whole other league. It's in the "Wish"/"Gave Up" basket of NIN-tracks in my book.
"Everything" is really a misplaced thing.
All in all it's a good and honest album, but you have to adjust your seat a bit, if you're a die hard NIN devotee.

thanks. listening again, at track 4 I'm already opening my wallet, hopefully I won't shut it after track 14.
so far it sounds like return to year zero/ghosts times - so electronic it shits zeroes and ones. I like it.
though if he fucks this up down the playlist it will be second big dissappoint in a row this week, after new Jackson AHCB
