I programmed them in python/pygame, even though plain c is probably better. http://www.freeimagehosting.net/ilfhn For this path one, I tried to figure out the simplest way to represent a path in data. Instead of 'move this way at n speed for n moves' type instructions, I just made a huge 30,000 long list of exact xy locations (so path was list of locations, not a list of moves). Since every square follows the same path, it doesn't matter how far apart the path locations are (speed); as long as you post every 8th square (or 4th for previous red one).. 0,8,16,etc on first frame, then 1,9,17 on 2nd frame etc.., then you only need 8 animation frames. The first one was a bunch of squares in concentric rings, programmed to randomly move, stretchmove, or switchmove. No oop/classes used for either program. |

You should make it so each square emits a sound that's manipulated by the position, size and speed of the square. It'd work especially nicely with the design of that first gif. |

I haven't seen that avatar in a long time, and what are we other than avatars? I still haven't done any sound programming for some reason. Would have to share the actual program in that case, not a gif, and python sucks at making exes. I could try to automate melodies then share mp3s of that though. |
