pretty tight actually

his binedump ep is hella tight

Kirlian Selections has tracks from that, but loads of other
nice ones too. some of the stuff i've not got nones the
ideas bout how on earth i'd even begin thinking about
recreating it. guess years and years of hard-earned practice
i guess

i think someone said "art" is kinda about becoming bored
with the familiar, and this type of squarepusher hand done
pattern editing already familar to me. I like how he
hijacked aphex twin memes once though. Its mostly about the
shallow outer wrapping meme packaging anyway. Its all about
trendiness, the fashion changes every day, so as long as its
brand new and at least 9.99 and available at walmart then
its good. Like that movie stewart little, I mean I never saw
it but it has a good cover and was a good movie when it was
fashionable, like there's a mouse an all that. Probably full
of subliminal pedophile messages, look at his smile:
LAZY_TITLE
Everyone knows the only reason to smile, especially in the
acute depression of modern times is to manipulate somebody.
Smiles are evil and stewart little represents evil,
camouflauged as good. And I can't spell camouflaughe or
buearocrat. They fucking force employees to ask customers
about the weather and shit now. So how's the weather? FOK
OFF. That's the ultimate psychological domination; get your
victim on the floor and do things to them, but that's not
enough. You force them to beg you for it and say please sir
and thank you sir.

yeah but i'm pretty sure he pulled off some stuff i've never
heard anyone do before. also, what's wrong with repeating
memes? you repeat your own memes all the time!

I don't know, I think I was mostly saying that walmart is
gay and fat people work there. Personally, I like being
infected with brain parasites. They help eat the portions of
the brain that are dedicated to reality, which has good
graphics if your blind flag isn't set but is otherwise the
worst game ever made. I bet it was coded in c. I can't
figure that shit out, you have to move like 18 dll files
just to make hello world work.

just got a bunch of his albums. Arboreal is pretty sweet. A
lot of it seems to tread quite closely in Squarepusher's
shoes but bah, if you're going to copy someone, copy someone
good

Didnt this guy once claim in an interview that he had never
heard of Squarepusher, meanwhile there was a video of him on
youtube in his studio with a Squarepusher poster in the
background from a year earlier.

BACK IN THE DAY, I felt flashbulb was sterile and
technically proficient copycat mastery. It's like if all
the copycat fanboiz practiced hard enough, they would
eventually become the flashbulb.

Aiiight- just listened to his newer stuff... Still cold in
emotion and strong structure an' shit. I think if he used
his beat skillz toward a more simplistic street/dance style
song structure, he would be pretty legit. Like Detroit
Underground sound, instead of squarepusher sound.

Like THIS is basically Ultravisitor redux or
someshit.

"Like THIS is basically Ultravisitor redux or someshit."

Indeed, it's striking! Also has a hint of Rotted Note..

I've always felt the same about his material, and I just
listened to the stuff posted in this thread. He is a
producer. He can produce very well, but he doesn't make
songs. Blah blah labels, blah blah definitions.

In my personal listening experiences, there is something
missing from his work that engages me. It all sounds
alright, but it doesn't make me feel anything.

A++ Student of sound engineering, not a musician.

That's my problem with Mr 76ix. Every track is produced
fantastically but there's absolutely fuck all for a melody.
And the beats, while put together very skilfully, aren't at
all catchy. So for me it's not really a song. A lot
of flashbulb feels like that to me. But not all of it - he
does have his moments (e.g. Stinger)
