Does anyone know what Rich has been up to as far as album
work and shit since the release of latest album..cause i
sure hope he makes some shit under the Polygon Window
moniker.

From recent interviews, it sounds like his days at WARP are
over and he'll be releasing stuff on his new REPHLEX
sub-label MEN with Tom J. of Squarepusher fame...

There are some problems releasing stuff under the Aphex Twin
name as he's still under contract to SIRE in the US and they
aren't gonna let him skip out of that apparently...whether
this means he'll not be releasing as Aphex Twin ever again
remains to be seen....

As for Polygon Window...I wouldn't hold my breath; those 2
bonus tracks on the latest reissue of Surfing on Sine Waves
were a big suprise but they were old, not new, tracks...he's
never mentioned doing anymore PW....

But YOU NEVER KNOW WITH APHEX!!...he'll no doubt suprise us
whatever he's up to...

he said he was never going to use nicknames again, except
aphex twin and afx..except when rereleasing old stuff that
was under the nickname in the first place.

Yeah, I read it was Aphex twin for any contractual
obligation stuff and AFX for his own label's releases.

I'm not to bothered about his name or record label, just as
long as the music's good.

This should answer any questions about polygon window.
You'll find this interview on this site behind the link
"Learn"

Interview by Theresa Stern

PSF: What about your side-project Polygon Window. Anything
new happening with that?

Not anything new. There was another album that I did that
didn't get released. It will get released someday I reckon.
It's just stuff that was left over from the first one that I
liked just as much.

PSF: You think that your focus for now is going to be Aphex
Twin then?

Yeah, definitely. I'll do a few anonymous things as well.
Also, I'll spend a lot of time on my label, Rephlex.

why do you guys think EVERYTHING is gonna come out on MEN
now? don't count out rephlex, richard DOES co-own and help
run it you know. i think a new release is just as likely to
come out on rephlex as men (which isn't even the name for
it.. i wonder if he picked a proper name yet).

i don't think we'll get any new polygon window stuff, i
think the "sound" of that project is too dated now. but i
hope he truly does release the second disc of old stuff he
mentioned. not enough of that comes out, i dunno why.

does his contract with sire deny him the right to use "aphex
twin" overseas? warp didn't own the right to the name, why
can't rephlex release "aphex twin" stuff outside of the
U.S.?

no but he's talked about what he can and cannot do according
to his contracts (warp and sire), i was hoping someone had a
better recollection than i do.
