Why men don't dance

The reason are women! They make fun of the uncordinated
dance moves of the male species. Braindance is a move in the
right direction, but we should form an underground lair
where only computer programmers, game nerds, and middle aged
men are allowed to dance to techno and house music.
No women allowed!

Imagine if Monoid wrote all these downer kind of posts about
himself for the past several years, but he's actually an
amazing dancer. Like, he's so fucking good at dancing, that
he doesn't even know how skilled he is cuz he thinks "being
good should take effort". Imagine he actually went clubbing
several times, and everytime he went on the dancefloor and
busted out his shit, women were swooning and getting weak in
the knees, but he never saw that before so thought they were
laughing at him. And then he remembered his experiences and
thought of this thread.

Judging by the quality of his singing, he's a contender for
Das Supertalent and he's probably going to be a passable
dancer too.

no, dance on your own in your bedroom. if you're like me
you'll still get some mega irrational anxiety, but once you
feel confident doing it on your own, then you might be able
to bust some moves in front others

(btw, almost everyone is self-conscious about their dancing.
and in a dancing situation is usually focusing on how they
appear over others)

I just need drugs to get rid of unwanted feelings. I kinda
gave up on fighting against brain chemicals

come on. try dancing on your own in your room. you'll
initially probably feeling embarrassed and awkward, but
after a while (and pulling the silliest moves you can think
of), you'll eventually feel slightly less awkward

as well. you could use drugs to give yourself a boost so the
dancing is easy. then you'll know that you can do it,
and maybe next time when you're sober the anxiety will be
less

it's not that you can't dance, if that's what you
intend to do, but simply the fact that you aren't
dancing, as such.

the anxiety lies in the possible exposure of your intent.

:\
