some consider coupé to be pompous but i'd argue it's more
correct.

also any thoughts on "four door coupés"? marketing misnomer
or legit? i was looking at a cls63 the other day but the
salesman's constant use of the C-word was off-putting to say
the least.

does coupe de ville mean car of the village?

like old europe cobblestone streets where a produce stand is
in the middle of the road and someone is drinking espresso
in the center of the street, then a car speeds by but the
street seems more like a fancy sidewalk?

sedan/coupé de ville is better translated as town car/town
coupe. kind of strange that the cadillac sedan de ville and
lincoln town car effectively had the same name just in a
different language.
