I've come to realise how awful some of my music sounds.

Wish I'd invested 10 years ago : (

:(

thats a shame, but then, good headphones dont guarantee a
sweet sound on other systems either

that's true, good cans can be incredibly self-indulgent. but
man is that soundscape luscious!

just wait till you get yourself a set of proper monitors...
i pretty much disowned everything i did prior to having some
of my own, other than the stuff with intentionally shitty
quality :P

Oooh yeah. Will have to save up for that!

What monitors you got there?

i've got m-audio av40's. they're cheap as fuck, but sound
amazing for the price (and when placed well in a space, i
have them mounted on shelves at head level for djing which
reflects nicely down to sitting level as well).

however, they really do require a subwoofer - steep drop off
below 70 Hz or so with those guys.

for $140 a pair they cannot be beat - anything else
comprable is gonna cost you at least that much just for a
single speaker. altho that may be worth investing in if you
don't have a separate subwoofer.

Can you remix your songs with your new cans Razie? do you
have the project files?

I made some mixes that sounded nice on my half decent
monitor speakers. then played em on my mums kitchen cd
radio, sounded really bass heavy and pants..

i think to have many speakers on hand when mixing is a good
thing.

Cos of reinstalling winblows some of the tracks are a bit
fooked, but I just need to reinstall all the exact VSTs and
I'm sure it'll all be fine! :)

A friend of mine field tests his stuff through a pair of
crappy car speakers. If it sounds good through them.....
