ive got to say uk myself, but im starting to get into the german minimalistic scene.

uh.. its not even a question in my mind britian
there aren't even any american electronic groups that i like.. not SERIOUSLY anyway
just a couple dnb producers, but thats different, not serious listening electronica
i dont think i even know of any german electronic arists... unless i know them but dont know that their german

They got loads of great artists in finland.
Theres alott of swedish to but i don't care much for them , except for Pluxus and Andreas Tillander.

i see what you mean jupitah, but cortex just mean idm-wise of course theres great music everywhere, and in many idfferent types of it from different cultures
but he just meant where the best "IDM" atmosphere was... if u want to classify music like that

jupitah: i asked which idm scene people felt was best/most interesting was to find out if there was any "scene" i wasnt aware of. the reason for this was because i stayed away from the erman scene for the longest time and now, i realize what i have been missing out on (ie, pole, jan jelinek, mouse on mars, etc.).
i dont understand why you think it's sad...
