bush-button open doors for disabled people

You know those doors that have a big button that opens them
for wheelchair people? And you know how opening these doors
normally is considerably more difficult than opening a
normal door thanks to the resistance in the door-opening
motor?

Now, surely there is a better way to design these things so
that disabled and non-disabled people can use them better.
How about not having the motor arm directly fastened to both
the door and wall, but instead just has an arm that pushes
on the wall to open the door (or pushes on the door to open
it, depending on where the motor is mounted). That way if
mechanised door-opening is not required (which is the case
in 99% of the times these doors are used typically), the
door can just be pushed open with no resistance from the
motor. Way better.

I pushed my partner's bush button and she responded most
favourably.
