Best electronic compilation ever! Rifts is Selected Ambient Works Vol. SUPERIOR! I have the vinyl edition btw... Daniel Lopatin is a deeply visonary and extremely talented artist, in my opinion. He reminds me of good ol' Richard James,but without the "cheerleading-of-myself"-complex that Dick obviously has been strugling with since the very dawn of his career. My Vision: A Richard D James - Daniel Lopatin collaboration would be out of this world awesome if you ask me, and then you could have Autechre coming in and remixing that stuff.... I'm pretty drunk and stoned right now, listening to Eric Dolphy - The Prophet - from the Eric Dolphy at the Five Spot Album. It is beyond awesome...life is good! :) |
