You ever get the feeling...

... that you can't really put into words, but it feels so
strong you think it must be something very important like
the meaning of life or something like that... it's hard to
explain, but good music does this for me... I can't put it
into words the feeling that is conjured up, but it is so
amazing... it's like a drug... it's why I constantly search
for more and more good music... I've tried to sit and think
about what I feel, but I can never put it into words... it's
weird...

I'm obsessive compulsive about music...when I'm sorting my
collection, I actually think about which two bands would get
along with eachother if they are stored next to eachother.

And yes, music does appeal to me in a much deeper sense than
most things do.

well, I was kind of exaggerating a bit... I just wanted to
make the point that it is a very strong feeling, and it just
feels very important, almost like if you could put it into
words it would be something important... I dunno, it's
really a hard thing to explain...

Listening to SAW II on my $25 sony headphones in the dark
while lying down is comparable to nitrous oxide. I feel
like my head is twice as large and my body sinks into the
floor. Everything seems just out of reach, so I just lay
there.

I know the feeling very well, it's great, kind of like a
general feeling of wellness and peace with everything around
you... better than any drug

I know what your saying funkmaster.

Today i was driving home and dawn chorus on geogaddi was
playing and i went on a bridge that goes over the lake, and
it looked, and felt stunning. It was one of those moments.

A few that never fail:
Acrid Avid Jamshred, a couple minutes in when the melody
creeps in
The last two minutes of Ziggomatic
Boc - Olsen... everytime
Boc - Turqouis Hexagon Sun, towards the end, when the beat
drops and the plush synth pops in
Beatles - Hey Jude... Na, na na, NANANA NA!
Squarepusher - Iambic 5 Poetry and I wish you could talk
Outkast - Aquemini, everytime the chorus plays... "even the
sun goes down, hero's eventually die, horoscopes often lie,
and sometimes why? Nothin in for certain, nothin lasts
forever but untill they close the curtains... It's him and
I, Aquemini...."

Agreed on that Hey Jude thing... that would soothe the
savage beast.

Music is all I really care about, and all I really want, and
I have an epiphany or two every DAY listening to music...
SAW 2 NEVER fails to do it. Boards of Canada try their
hardest to give you those feelings, and they usually
succeed...

I had that the last time I played Richard Wagner's Overture
zu Tannhauser. I became totally exstatic(10x orgasm) and
understood why I still bother to exist on this planet

If i couldn't listen to music i'd want to die. I get those
little ephiphanies sometimes when I hear a track I really
start to get into, maybe the third or fourth time, and all
is right with the world.

I plan on spending my summer mostly in my room listening to
music... it's my true love. I just wish Autechre would
release an LP, make the summer a little more bearable. :-)
