Do you think i am an asshole? I need this feedback to get
better!

I think you are mentally ill. I am as well. I started taking
meds, might want to look into that option, if you haven't
already.

As much as I wanted to avoid taking that step; feeling like
it was cheating on being myself, or neutering my
personality, cutting out a part of who I am, I think it is
helping me to learn and develop. I am not losing a part of
me, just improving what is already here.

I think you are special, and I want to see you continue
posting.

That being said, you're still a jerk for throwing out CDs.

I am not mentally ill. I view myself as a piece of art -
very expensive art no one likes.

i'm rather anti-med except in cases where the person is
completely out of it. not because of the meds themselves,
but because the process is akin to watering a garden with a
fire hose. you largely throw yourself at the mercy of a
doctor... quite possibly a doctor you met a mere half hour
before getting that Rx. some docs are good, some are crap;
how's a mentally ill person to judge? even if the doc is
good, it's trial and error. does this work? no? how about
this? except, instead of an eye exam where the bad choice
lasts two seconds, you go through two weeks of feeling like
you're going to jump out of your skin, gain 20lbs, have a
seizure, etc. i suspect corticalstim was simply lucky. i'd
only recommend meds if there's an immediate health threat to
yourself or others (doesn't sound like it to me) or as part
of serious long-term therapy (a few sessions, a couple
months before any pills!).

here's an analogy: computers get glitchy when they get
dusty. the proper response is to open them up and clean them
out carefully (i use a paintbrush and a vacuum). the
improper response is to strap it to the roof your car and
drive through the car wash (this will clean your computer
off, sure, but also do god knows what else to it).

monoid, if i know your type, then i guarantee you that
getting more exercise will make you feel better. walk around
the block whenever you feel shit. it's simple and effective.
if you drink, quit, or at least cut back.

I feel like shit when I walk around the block. Thats why I
don't walk around the block, because it is boring.

I just don't like walking around in my neighbourhood. I
always have the feeling that i have to have a excuse why I
am walking around there.
Now, i have read several 'theories' why i maybe feel this
way, but I think my lazyness is the main reason why i dont
go out.

EpicMegatrax is a smart dude. I concur.

I did luck out, the meds I am on work well for me. Physical
exercise, a proper diet, following through with a daily
schedule, and maintaining good personal hygiene are all the
crucial pillars that I had to establish before I decided I
needed a little extra help, and talked to my doctor.

Ever consider signing up for some sort of fitness class?
Boxing or core fitness programs are fairly cheap, and they
add a bit of structure that is really beneficial to your
routine.

I was hesitant, didn't want to hang out with fat old ladies
and douchey muscle-headed bros, but that isn't the scene I
found.

Bike riding rules though.

i think monoid feels socially anxious. i understand. when

to acknowledge other humans beyond not hitting 'em.

I quite like walking; it's like exercise junk food. When you
walk everyday you find lots of good shit people throw out.
However, this thread is making me nostalgic for biking. I
haven't been biking in ages. My bike as a TREK bike computer
and waterbottle and everything, but fuck, i dunno if i have
a fucking tire pump!! will update status when i get to that
shit

This is not the first time you make such a thread. What is a
shame is that you don't change. At all. You've been here
pretty much from the start and yet it's same old Monoid.

russell, you are completely correct, and i intend to put a
stop to this malarky. next time he makes a thread, i will
ask him if he has a bike yet. when he says no, i will tell
him to fuck off; if he doesn't take our advice why ask for
it

No one likes advice. That is what I learned from reading
Carl Rogers. And I am trying to make a diffrence. It is not
easy. See, if i could just do what you all suggest, i
wouldn't have these 'problems'.
Well I bassocly know what I ' should' do, but it is hard.
This i think, is what being a human is all about. Constant
struggle with nature. And the more you want change, the more
difficult it gets...hmmm

offline Monoid from one source all things depend on 2012-09-30 00:56 [#02442045]
Points: 11005 Status: Regular

On the other hand, i am sick of all these unfullfilled
wishes, these human needs inside me that never get
satisfied. The emotional and financial poverty i live in. I
want to just kill radom people because they always had it
better than me. They never cared about my feelings of
loneliness, sadness and the feelings of injustice the
society they support, caused inside me.
I think it would perfectly make sense to let them feel the
pain i had to endure in their company in all these years.
Their family, their relatives, their children, their loved
ones, i would kill them all if i could.

when i think back, all the shitty jobs i did (and still do
sometimes). but then they always got me the money i needed
to be able to do what i want.

when you say your interests are freedom, sex, a.s.o. that is
pretty abstract stuff. sounds a bit like an excuse for me to
keep you away from actually doing something.

maybe u should go study something u are interested in. i
mean, going to university. there are a lot of fucked up kids
