The first one on the good ol'playstation bugged me
out,...I'd always play it at night in totall dark in my
studio with my headphones on. That way I could hear those
creeps creepin'up in stereo.

Aaaahhhh,...the sound of pain

Murray: have you passed it? Ive beaten that game 2 times
now.... thats not the creepiest part! the creepiest parts
are in the underground abondoned jail, the even deepr [like
hundreds of feet deep] in the wells with the water all over
the floor and you have no map! its like your in the evil its
so fucked up! the mansion is pretty nuts too at the end.....
its SUCH a good game. one of my favs for sure!

REFLEX....the best bit for me, was when ure in the prison
and you go in the female toilets, and u knock on the door,
and go away and you hear BANG that scares the shit out of
me, i think they could have done loads more with Pyramid
Head

Murray: yeah that was fucked... well the storyline with
pyrmid head is pretty fucked, and they could have done more,
but I think it was creepier with all the character
development, like the boss near the end of the girl who got
raped and molested by her father, or the fat guy who was
always picked on and he goes so crazy... its scary.

REFLEX.........YOU SO DA MAN, i loved every bit of the
story, but i got the 'Leave' ending and i wanted to just
give James a big hug and say

"Its alright mate, you would have been better off trying
ure luck with one of them Randy Nurse's. I mean c'mon,
several nurses in samll dresses welding pipes in their
hands, comming towards you and moaning...its a bit of a
sign'

LOL

left the town? I got the one where he drove into the lake or
whatever.... it was depressing to say the least I want to
play it again soon!

I just recently bought this game! Weeks ago... still haven't
gotten around to playing it. I bought a bunch of games
lately, I'm sloooowly going through them, little time for
games.

I rented it and loved the atmosphere, I didn't get far...
just to the apartments.

It was freaky... genuinely creepy, not just ''shock''
horror... very psychological.

The mist annoys me, it's a bit overdone... but I can't wait
to play this. As soon as I beat Star Fox, I'll get into
this... and then Metroid Prime.

i have to mreplug my megadrive...
and the game is waitting for me

psychological as a brainwash
i mean the killing babies with chainsaw is just insane and
so attractive...

Yeah Silent Hill rules, definately superior to Resident Evil
games.
I'd play Resident Evil for fun (though not for long, I hate
those big spiders), but for depth and atmosphere Silent Hill
is the king.

"Who's the king?"

"Fuck me your majesty!"

lol, Ophecks, Silent Hill 2 is very pyscological, your quite
correct, its brilliant when you get past the flats, and the
mist adds to the tension

Silent Hill 1 and 2 I both own now. They are great games, #2
is brilliant stuff. #1 is too but its lacking a bit only
cause its older and has not so good graphics so the imagry
doesnt get portrayed well enough. but still kicks asss.

silent hill 2 is one of the few ps2 games i wish was on
gamecube, i really like the resident evil remake but I like
the atmosphere and story of silent hill better. i cant wait
to play re0 and see what they do for res evil 4 though. i
hope silent hill 3 or 2 comes to gcube, even though its been
a long time since 2 came out on ps2 its better late than
never.

anyone know where i can get the soundtrack to silent hill 2?
It some of the best music i'ver heard in a video game!

are there any artists that make this kind of music? I know
of just Angelo Badalamenti (Twin Peaks, Mulholland Drive).

Is it just me or does this kind of music just not exist
outside of games and movies?

silent hill 3 looks excellent. im a huge silent hill fanatic
in general, beaten the games 1934293582035 times over and
found every secret, blah blah blah no life etc.

as for the soundtracks, the official osts are cool. but i
recently found (well, about a month or so ago) the COMPLETE
osts. these are direct dumps from the discs themselves.
essentially, its all the music you dont hear in the official
osts. the osts usually cram in a lot of guitar rock that
doesnt really fit. sh2 soundtrack is a prime example of
this. not that they are necessarily bad, its just that they
dont fit

these complete osts are all the ambience you hear. some of
my favorite stuff at that.

here

some other nice soundtracks as well

disasemble - f*ckng awesome man my god - i'd have never come
across the soundtrack of sh - which now that i've read just
this remember that i loved it... the link you provided is
the shit! the 'shasylum' one really should be ignored 4
those after good qual full rip's of the soundtracks - since
http://www.shnetwork.net/music/sh1complete.php has decent
quality rather than some 64 or 96 abominations. anyway -
nice one
