For me it was definately radiohead, Chicago, Grant Park,
August 1 2001. They played a good 2 hours, with kid koala
and beta band, to about 200,000 people.

aug 1st 2001 that was my 19th birthday, at that time I was
having a dinner party adn drinkin beers, good times. My
favorite-not best concert was seeing Incubus so close I
could reach out my hand to him. I still have alot more
concerts I want to see..like Ozzfest.

definitely radiohead live in oslo september last year. they
played a blazing two and a half hour set, with anti-pop
consortium as warm-up act. it was incredible.

Slayer / Machine Head in 94 was probably the best... QOTSA
in Reading was also good... Donington was also always fun

I saw The Cure first row (center) in a small club during the
Dream Tour. We went for my wife's 21st birthday, and it was
amazing. I was 3 feet from Robert.

2 spring to mind...

The Prodigy organised a bus from Braintree to Coventry as
they were playing a big gig at a club called The
Eclispe...Did my first E that night and fucking loved
it...About a month later they released "Charley" and the
rest is history....

The other was a 24hr gig organised by Hawkwind, this really
dodgy hippie spacerock band, in Brixton....only went coz AFX
was on the bill and he turned up at around 2 or 3 o'clock in
the morning and played an excellent set stuff from Caustic
Window to SAWII - the best version of blue calx ever, he was
shaking the whole place with his sub bass and the glass in
the windows was resonating with every hit, as if the whole
place was humming....I was possibly the only E Head
there..everyone else seemed to be old old hippies...

Very weird gig...but the pills were pukka and I think I
introduced quite a few frazzled hippies into the E & Hard
Techno combination....;)...

It's a toss up between Leftfield on their final tour before
they split up and Death in Vegas in the Bristol Academy. I
think DIV had the edge... The combination of a very friendly
crowd, good venue/accoustics (although the sound engineers
looked like chimps when I watched them during the warm up
band!) and a good variety of tunes (including a leftfield
cover) coupled with highly appropriate visualisations made
it a great night.

jethro tull in 1997 or leftfield in 1996

i saw kingmaker at staffs poly in 1991 but i can't remember
anything about it apart from the fact that they were pissed
off because no-one was listening and everyone was pissed,
including yours truly

surprise surprise, alchohol was also responsible for the
best show i never saw. foo fighters (already had the tickets
well in advance) - got really drunk, turned up at 10.30 and
the'd just fuggen finished. ah well, the curry after was
nice.

fucking wild show. was pretty packed with candy ravers, was
fun to punch them and then duck into the crowd. The Chems
played a hard set, didnt do any drugs though.

Smashing Pumpkins, during the infinite sadness tour, it was
the summer after 8th grade, and the first big-venue concert
for me... it was also the first time I used LSD

I've been to many great concerts since, but I doubt anything

Andy C (drum n bass) with a whole bunch of MCs.

Absolutely off my nut, jumped up onstange and shook Andys
hand and all the MCs etc.

Oh and Kid Kenobi (breaks DJ) last weekend, absolutely off
my face again, got his signature and chatted to him, he told
me he'd email me when he puts some tracks up on the net!
Dope!

Also managed o fall off a stage (lost most of my vision,
everythign went all blurry) and shiz.
Small room and everyone was going spastik dancing, esp me.
Man, I love dancing.

And that Thomas Shoemakker (spelling?) bloke earlier this
year owner me. Really techno stuff with this strobe that
owner my brain (ie made you just stop and crashed your brain
until it turned off)

i think the rascalz were pretty tight just because the bass
was so dope dope dope on the system. and the crowd was going
nutzo.

and this locAL punk band - the ubiquitus midgets (sp) was
very dope just because they were bad mouthing everyone and
they payed a kick ass ramones cover at the end.

or in canmore we were inthis little club and this dj was
spinnin and everyone was buying me drinks and no one cared
that i was underage and we were all just having a good time
dancing and shit

i dunno
i havent been to alot of shows

swollen members was actually not bad
but i can hardly remember it
and the sound was terrible

1 - the flaming lips in 2000 (just after "the soft bulletin"
came out) - a multimedia masterpiece that show was

2 - sage francis and buck65 in 2002 - free in new york state
- those two have better stage presence than anyone

best two shows in the world no question - bogdan is close
too though (nyc summer 2002)

Happy Mondays - really good. My 1st gig.

Dinosaur Jr - Wicked band. Mascis threw up on stage which
was pretty punk rock.

L7 - The funniest gig, they were clearly having a ball and
the crowd was really going for it.

The Orb - Live 93 nuff said

Mixmaster Morris at Glastonbury

Orbital - Halcyon and Satan rocked it.

2001 Aphex set - Jungle madness

N*E*R*D - Great tunes, really good crowd, they seemed to
love it as well.

I'm sure theres loads more as well... errr Beastie Boys "in
the round" tour was wicked.. Eminem 1st UK tour in a
smallish venue was pretty amazing.

God that was more than i was gonna say

Radiohead - 2001, amazing show
U2 - 2001, fucking rocked the same place as Oasis 4 years

Massive Attack - 1998, really deep bass, really good light
show

Warp Magic Bus Show was slightly disappointing, but still
pretty ace.

looking forward to Underworld soon, and hopefully the
