yup. huge chunks of wax flew out of each ear, about 1-2 cm
length. I remember going outside and the improvement was
amazing- the frequency range didn't seem to have changed
much but it seemed like I could hear things that were much
farther away, like leaves rustling in trees.

Once.
The effects on hearing both before and after the cleaning
were interesting, despite being highly annoying.

Did they just shoot a stream of water in your ear or use
some other technique? Cool discussion btw guys, good job at
making topics.

Getting ears flushed feels great. When I used to pack
earwax into my ears with cotton swabs, I'd get my ears
cleaned and wax tubes would come out. After that,
everything was so crisp and loud and piercing and my ears
tickled to listen. It's like when putting on headphones
attached to a mic/preamp, where you can hear the air and
shit.

Just to add to my post from 2 years ago: Bonus-- getting
ears flushed feels amazing. Makes you want to cuddle with
the air like a cat.

Dude..... Well, when general people get their ears cleaned
for their first time, FUCKING CRAZY SHIT CAN COME OUT.

So maybe your ears have crude oil, holy shit. BLACK GOLD!
You could be rich.

I had them sucked clean by an ENT recently, with a clear
tube passing in front of my face so I could clearly see what
was coming out. Terrifying shit

One day I'd love to get my sinuses cleaned. I'm talking
like, the bone cavities and shit... And also inside the
eardrum, where they cut the eardrum open and stick a vacuum
tube inside it, running through the sinuses and all that
goodness. I'm pretty sure I got a lil' fucked up shit all
up in my face bone and ear holes and whatnot, from stabbing
myself in the ears many times with q tips growing up
(output, blood), having laughed+cough+sneeze+fart and then
rice or some food powder goes into deep space face. Also, I
want to get my those-tiny left ear bones fixed up, cuz I
think I bent them or put them out of place when sleeping on
earbuds in 1997. Fuck earbuds, man, what the fuck. Is the
size savings worth the quality drop, and ear bone fuckery,
and hearing fuckery-- okay well, how about I just use my
imagination for music to save on space-- on no wait, I guess
imagination is massive. I'll use toothpics jammed into my
eardrums, attach them to taught strings, then tape those
strings to earbuds hanging out of my pants pockets to make a
can telephone style toothpick earbuds. TAKE THAT CONSUMER
ELECTRONICS.

But the Game Boy red/blue shit earbuds are fucking legend.
They're like the NS10's of inner-ear magnet bullshit. Good
times.

Western science will tell you otherwise, but if you have
hearing problems (or skin problems, or cancer or basically
any human problem- for some reason) pure neem oil might be
able to help. In my experience, it seems to be able to
locally ascertain what the intention of DNA is for that
particular part- mixed with idealism based on Gaia's
whiteboards in the ether- and well, it basically improves
everything. It's fucking nuts. The only downside is that
is makes you smell like garlic or some chemically old man.
And if you use it on your face for acne or other skin
issues, it will make you all shiny (so recommended usage is
before sleep).

I don't think earbuds go nearly far enough into your canal
to mess with the ossicles...

I have had a perforated eardrum on one side for a few years
now, originally as a result of mastoiditis but it never
healed up. I can blow air out through that ear, which is a
damn weird feeling, and if I swallow really hard I can suck
air through my ear into my mouth, thus being able to taste
my ear innards. It doesn't taste nice!

First, that is a cool minor superpower. If I had that
ability, I might regularly clean my ear canal out with soda
water, which I imagine would feel amazing.

As for ossicles ear bones n' earbud ting-- I was thinking
maybe the earbuds- when lying on one side- pressed against
that cartilage nub type thing before the hole, which then
pressed into the bones. Earbuds are held in by the part I'm
referring to. Because with pressure, one side gives more
than the other. And it's a frightening *delicate*
feeling... *shudders*
