i totally had a commodore 64 when i was a kid!

no, im not that old, i just found one in a garage sale, and
my parents never bought me a genesis :(

but it was kind of fun trying to get everything to work - i
was way more into the troubleshooting than the actual games,
much more interesting

In loving memory of Jand, I'll chip in with, "All the
best people had Spectrums
" :D

I was a fellow ZX48K Geek and still have a soft spot for it
(I first learnt to code in BASIC on the machine) and really
like the Manic Miner port now on the 360. Still, the C64 was
a worthy adversary and fair play to it, pissed all over the
Spectrum from a sound point of view. The SID is a beautiful
sound chip, rightly recognised as iconic.

Not to continue my Speccy hijack much further, but I
couldn't resist chipping in the following.

If you liked Paradroid, check out Quazatron. It's
amazingly deep for a 48K game.

dad got us a c64 as a "kid's computer" since i kept trying
to mess with his dec pdp somethingorother when i was five.
they chucked it while i was away at college :(

been trying to re-acquire one without just caving and paying
ebay's (over)prices. meanwhile i'm stuck with just an apple
IIe to write stupid graphics displays on
