we all know that elevator muzak is really boring

and we know that it's REALLY COOL!!! to like muzak these
days. especially if you make out like you were always into
it

but is it any less tired than the "post mantovani" muzak.
woodwind .strings combo that people so easily slag off for
being
played out?

Of course it's SUPER COOL to like Mantovani... especially
because and they're black

but how many more pissweak rip offs of Mantovanis Charmaine
and Around The World and do we really need?

Do we really have to settle for the same old thing 30 years
after this brilliant groundbreaking music existed.....?

Luke Vibert taught us with Musipal that elevators and muzak
music can
evolve but it seems that nobody has grasped this fact

It's as if anything with cascading strings in it is
automatically good

don't you deserve more

i deserve more.

i deserve almost everthing in my wardrobe to be corduroy or
silk. maybe gold plated. with diamond and strontium edging.
at least.

i deserve lush velvet vibrations washed gently to my ears by
angels using shoe horns of clarity.

Yah, elevator music is good. Sometimes I just sit on an
elevator floor with a sketchbook and an espresso machine
powered by battery backup in my backpack.

You can get quite a lot done before security comes, and when
they ask you to leave, it's really peaceful cuz the music is
so stale, yet soothing.

Yah, man. Elevator music was so popular in the 90's, that
Kenny G and Stevie Wonder performed elevator versions of
their songs inside actual working elevators on stage. The
Elevatorpalooza Fest 96, etc. Good times, man. Good times.
