how do you use 'polyiblit'

Hi, after like 400 years of making shitty music I figured
out something exists called a 'softsynth' or some shit. I
figure this could be useful to like make sounds instead of
using SHIT modplug SHIT sounds. So I download this shit
called polyiblit, its like a 'VST plugin' or some shit so
you know right away it won't work but try anyway. I put it
in some gay ass folder and manage to get the motherfucker on
the screen with all these god damned knobs AND SHIT. BUT ITS
SHIT AND IT DOESN'T DO SHIT I MEAN WHAT THE FUCK FUCK THIS.
Like how do you do it know what I'm sayin'? Its like, does
it have a 'play' button, NOOOoooOOOO... I mean the
programmer was such an asshole that he programmed all these
buttons and knobs and shit but forgot to create any way to
actually play and hear sounds 'n' shit ITS JUST GAY AND SO
ARE YOU. Plus he was a big enough asshole to make it a 'vst
plugin' instead of a standalone program. So I mean, now it
has to be some sort of parasite 'vst' sexually tranmitting
itself inside modplug tracker. Two shitty pieces of software
guaranteed to never work together, know what I'm sayin
dawg?

Ok, this has been funky w M w's super music tips. Stay cool
and be sure to tune in next time for FUCK, dawg. FUCK IN THE
FARTPOOP.

HEY BRO YOU KNOW HOW A RACKMOUNT SYNTH OR TONE GENERATOR
DOESNT DO ANYTHING UNLESS U HOOK A SEQUENCER OR MIDI
KEYBOARD UP TO IT WELL THIS IS LIKE THAT

ALL UP IN DA DAW
CREATIN ALL Y'ALLZ MIDI TRACKS
DROP AN INSTRMINT ON THE TRACK
NOW I ADD A MIDI EVENT
NOW I CLICK AND BRING IT UP
ITS AT THE BOTTOM OF the SCREEN
ADD SOME NOTES INTO THE GRID
PRESS PLAY AND LISTEN BACK
THE SEQUENCER CONTROLS THE SYNTH
EVEN THO ITS IN THE DAW
ITS STILL MORE LIKE 2 DEVICES
DAW IS LIKE the MASTER SEQUENCER
VSTS LIKE MIDI CONNECTED SYNTH
DOES this HELPING YOU IN ANY WAY

You post something like this bi-annually and I usually give
you roughly the same advice:

Step 1: Obtain a proper sequencer through whatever means you
are comfortable with (I recommend ableton live because it's
easy to use, and easy to fix mistakes). Not a demo version,
w M w, this part is crucial, and has burned you before. Demo
versions often don't like "producing sound," which seems to
have been your main problem the last 8 or so years.

Step 2: Watch some youtube videos on how to work vst plugins
in ableton live (you will learn in minutes, I promise). It
involves arming the specific track (layer) that you have
equipped with the VST, and then writing a sequence for it,
or playing the sounds by hand on a MIDI keyboard or even
computer keyboard.

I took a screenshot of that simple remix I made
the other day, to help inspire confidence.

aaahahaha that's what I'm like with fancy music software.
fuck all this shit. If it's not immediately obvious how it
works then it can bugger off. I just record everything on
hardware or in Audacity, save it all as WAVs, then bung it
all in a sequencer I got off a magazine CD. Works a treat!
(although my music is shit lol)

I deleted polyiblit. I would try programming my own music
software in C, since python is a walled garden preventing
people from making exe files, but programming will be
illegal soon. Plus I have to spend all my time chasing
whatever few nearly worthless dollars are left since the
elites have intentionally destroyed the economy. Not having
a girlfriend for 30 years is a sick enough problem, but it
turns out that was just an unobtainable luxury, like flying
to a caged bird. Whether or not I'll even be able to survive
in the near future is the thing to focus on, not a
girlfriend. All culture and genetics are poisoned anyway,
owned by google and monsanto. Their algorithms know when you
talk bad about them. Sure there's no action now, but you're
put on a list when you do that.

have you tried the moog synthesizer on the google homepage?
even a python programmer could use it. not sure what
monsanto has on tap when it comes to subtractive synthesis.

here's what i'm gonna do: throw first three posts of this
thread into google translate, press "play" and record them
in my sound editor. then sample them in my next track. and
call the track "yo dawg i heard you like talking about
making tracks so i made a track about you making tracks so
you can track while you track" or something like that. dumb
track title i know. see you on the other side of midnight.

i think you should just shorten the track title to a picture
of xzibit.
