I was tempted to do that but I figured it sort of killed the idea behind the label, plus you sort of miss the tape sound quality in it too.. |

Well I was hoping for an mp3 version where the songs are played off the tape and recorded via audio-out or even with an external mic to preserve the tape hiss, but I can certainly understand wanting to uphold the idea behind the label. Thanks anyway and good luck with the label. |

If you're planning on making digital lo-fi versions that would be awesome. It would spare the tapes owners the effort of ripping the tape themselves - since they would perhaps be able to take the mp3 version with them somewhere out, when they can't play the tape at home ? Download codes coming with cassette etc. ...? an idea |

We'd like to stick with tapes for now though because the name sort of pushes it that way :P Other than that i really REALLY hope there's a bloke out there that picks up this release and goes "I'd want this guy on vinyl on my label!". AMPMX for on Rephlex president! @Obara: Download codes were actually the idea before but somehow it did not cross mine nor anyone else's mind that it doesn't have to be the clean digital file, but can also be a tape recorded WAV file, or FLAC, or MP3.. We'll take this definitely into consideration (would it be ok if this would be done for instance after they've sold out?) but it's already going to be a bit difficult for the next release for instance.. I am glad tapes are arriving safe and sound all over the place and that everything is fine. :) |
