So i compose on average 8 to 16 bars of music then i am
done ha.

I usually write in 4 to 8 bar loops and just keep adding
until i am sick of it then scrap it and move on to another
"idea". So now i have about 200 loops ideas and no songs.

How do you guys aproach composing a complete song?

I take a sinister breath in and focus on the colors. Then i
harpoon the light and catch the ruffians. Overall seventh
plea and back and forth.

colours*

(it's important)

So yeah do you muffle in sex tones? I tried to sever the
caution but got caught in the west lane.

stfu ruffelpuff.

i feel your pain, jtalton - and sometimes i feel exactly
like you. it's the infamous "where the fuck do i go from
here"-syndrome. i blame it on the quadrillion number of DAW
parameters. the decision making process implodes teh brain,
and you jerk off your penis or surf the web instead.

but, it's not necessarily a bad thing. keep on doing loops
for a couple of years and your loops are bound to evolve
into something longer and better (aka a tune).

i tend to go back to my loops 2-3 months afterwards, without
listening to them, and when i go back theyre fresh and i can
kind of imagine where it could turn into a song, and i go
from there. either that, or i shelve it for another couple
months.
