I love how that one word made me think "you flew the
Gullfire over Leningrad", Escape from New York and then to
click the link and discover that this music was influenced
by the excellent soundtrack and is great!

Thanks for the link. Rather splendid.

I had to dig out the vinyl of Escape from New York
soundtrack because of this. That version of the Debussey
track is absolutely beautiful. I love that glider scene...
Well the whole LP is great. (BTW did you know Duke Arrives
is a rip off of Bad Guys from Beverly Hills Cop 2? Realised
this recently.
Shame the latter seems to be unavailable.)

Anyway, this soundcloud does pale slightly compared but I
think that's a bit unfair despite the obvious influence of
the Carpenter's soundtrack.

It could be John Carpenter just kick'n back in his PJ's,
make'n shit and put'n it up in the clouds, ya know?

Or it could be some lad wearing John Carpenter as a skin
suit sans the PJ's, just so he could get in and play with Mr
Carpenters synth collection?

s'nice stuff.

+ a new track got added since last time I checked. pumpkins.

These sound really nice, thanks for posting.

The synth work plus the use of old footage vaguely reminds
me of a new legowelt project.

Great stuff man. Real 80s vibe going on there.

People who like this might also want to check out
Klockhaus (here another).

Really enjoying that, thanks Aurum.

Do we have any idea how these various things have been made?
Sounds like there was a bunch of synth work? At least, I
don't think this is just some "vaporwave-style" cut/paste of
VHS tapes or whatever?

That second link, if I didn't know better I'd say "oh wow I
remember that tune!"

Yea probably some synths that can create these specific
sounds. Don't think it's all sampled (like Chuck Person's
Eccojams).

Hey Gullfire, can we rip this shit off the net somewhere?
