sorry to make you wait - but a deadline is a deadline :> but i'm quite convinced that it's worth it. one track is practically finished but i'd like to recheck the mastering after not listening to it for a few days. just in case. i also hope to finish the second one. i mean i'll send it anyways but it's possible that it might be a bit of an unfinished symphony. i'll let you decide if you want to add it or not. |

heh - actually i have to pass. i would definitely want to send those remixes today, maybe tomorrow at worst. i'm at the point where i start to overdo those tracks and i have to force myself to leave them be. i actually went back two versions with one track as i just started to add useless shit to it. i'm at the point where i am very comfortable with the sound so i don't want to turn it to shit. also as those two weeks have been very exhausting i have to take a break. just the thing with the format - is a 320 kb mp3 okay or wav or flac ? i' personally prefer wav as the mp3 will be again recorded on bandcamp and i'm a bit afraid of the sound. |

i just found your post with mentioning wav files. i put both tracks on my phone yesterday and discovered two small bugs which i should be able to fix tonight. i'll drop the wavs to sendspace and mail you the links. |

sent the mail. uff i'm soaked. but very satisfied. the first one is pretty far away from the original and can hardly be called a remix anymore i guess for which i'm sorry for as you might dislike it. it was just that i made a few sounds and finishing it that way came out very natural. it's also quite against my usual remixing rules where i don't add any sounds beside the original provided. of course a lot of dsp involved but i like the challenge and also altering the sound still leaves the melodic portion in it so even time-stretched and mangled the essence of the sample stays the same. the second remix is much more what you would call a conservative remix obviously. when i heard the original this was actually the first idea that came to mind. it's a bit of a ripoff of one of my favourite tracks ever and imho has a classic idm vibe to it thanks due to the sounds as well as the simple composition. there might be a few sound problems - i am far from a good sound engineer so the tracks might sound very crude at times. still i'm very amazed with how much i learned just making those. again thanks melack for doing this and giving me an awesome time. i'm really looking forward to see the final package and the rest of the remixes which i'm super excited about. |

just listened ELH mix, sadist, and im totally amazed and impressed, thank you very much! :D + you can choose a name for the mixes if you want to, as im writting tracks in this format : ELH - whatever mix + tell me your website so that i can link you in the credits! and if you want me to add any especial info about you pengloose's mix is also fucking good, you are true that its nothing like the original, loving how you processed the voices just like a bogdan tune :) and the groovie bass and beats... it sounds perfect, really well produced, sadist <3 |

awesome you like both man. yeah as i said the elh mix is far more remixy i guess - it has also NO artificial sounds which i'm proud off. you might have guessed - but the track i wanted to rip of is gridlock - return. bad ripoff though :P i'm not really that good with names tbh. i'd rather prefer something like "remixed by elh" etc. if you care to make all the names similar then just write "sadist - elh mix" and "sadist - pengloose mix". i'm kind of trying to get rid of the sadist persona though but that might be a nice goodbye. as for a internet site i'd rather add none as i haven't really anything good loaded up. but if you care you can add http://soundcloud.com/matrigs |

heh i didn't either :P took a peek at the txt side though and i love it. especially the division of the tracks into two "genres". also love how ceri is in the second one without even sending his track :P and the mini-bio's are dope. and the track explanations too. love this whole project. it's so much cooler involved in something like this than in some fancy big-named remix contest with prizes and shit where everyone tries to rather sound "proper" than really showing off his style. |

mmm im afraid to state a new release date, because its a shit when it goes delayed over and over again... on monday we will order the serigraphy stuff (for t-shirt and physical handmade cds) and as soon as i know how long will it take to be done, ill try to give you a more concrete date... sorry for inconvenience, it could be already released as a digital album, but i preffer everything to be ready so that noone orders something thats not a reality yet. but expect it soon :) as everything is fixed now, all remixes, artwork, words |
