anti capitalist protests

bbc has been broadcasting all evening/night/morning about
the removal by military police of peaceful protesters. in
all that time, reporting constantly about how many people
are standing where and who's doing what, clutching at any
straw of drama, they did not address the reason for the
protest, or even the counter argument against it. literally
all they have said is the protest is "anti capitalist". all
the rest, hours and hours of footage and description of
basically not much else happening apart from a peaceful demo
being broken up by force is an attempt in the short term of
some hollywood-style news action, followed by the
realization by everyone that The Man is getting an even
tighter grip on us all and boring us into submission by the
over-reporting yet total lack of reasoning. and the bbc is
supposed to be good. their classic phrase, "correspondents
say that x happened or y is going to etc" basically means
someone in the news room reckons this coz we don't know
what's happening either. lock up your daughters! !

news reports are basically a satire of their former selves
now (mostly), it's like watching a chris morris sketch
sometimes. no depth left.

they focus on what 'we' want and give it to us. they decide
what 'we' want according to research taken from 'us the
peoples''' they know us. they give it to 'us'. its what we
'wanted"
-if we didnt want this it wouldnt be happening right now.
but also nobody knows whats happening so it happens anyway

you just realised that the bbc is a left wing institution
run by liberal people who loathe reality. congratulations.

...and the whole, "technological advancement" that it
drives, that allows you things like Xltronic and electronic
music itself.

Good evening, I think we've been here before...

There's not much I can do about technological advancement,
but if you ask me, technology isn't inherently capitalist
either, the internet is proving that much.

Personally, fully opting out isn't viable, well, unless I
bought myself a ticket to one of those survival courses by
Ray Mears or such, but then I'd be a hypocrite wouldn't I?
Nevermind, I wouldn't do that anyway, considered it long
ago, much better to engage and create alternatives (however
short lived) within, than to run away. There are levels of
opting out after all - 'every little helps' ay :D

Good Evening, to you too. Fair play to you Torture Garden, I
may not always agree with you, but it is nice to argue with
someone who can do so civilly. :)

Ironically, given my capitalist views, I am better placed
than most to opt-out, as I am fascinated with survivalism
and have practiced outdoorsmanship from a young age. Like
you, I think that there are better alternatives than that. I
just do it because I like to know I can and that I've done
all I reasonably can to increase my odds if I am thrown into
a situation where it becomes necessary.

"so you must be xlt's resident EDL campaigner :D"

Hehe, you falsely accuse me of being part of a violent and
thuggish protest group, perhaps as a joke but I suspect that
you are simply a teenager who holds passionate yet
irrational and untruthful views on various matters.
