I cant say that ill liste to all stuffs but thanks for
answering.
I also want to say that i cant do the music i'll like to do
(im a tortoise and sonic youth fan).Go a cheap pc and the
tools i use are dinosaurs
[FT2...yes...yes.......RB2,Wavelab]

Thanks to a contemporary musical project (called Cesaré) I
recently tried Max/MSP with a midi controller and many GRM
tools such as freezing etc... huge and amazing
possibilities. I understood how ae and afx could do their
cool effects (bouncing, strange loops etc...) is the word
"desacralize" in english???

WoaH!!, progeriak... Was that a comment on me being an
Autechre clone?

I toot my horn and say I am the best autechre clone out
there. I clone autechre so well, I have Sean and Rob calling
me up asking how I clone them so well. They don't know how I
do it.

Well, maybe not. I really don't rate myself that highly.
Sorry, I have been reading a lot of Joseph Heller lately,
and I seem to take any oportunity to rant in a similar
style. Won't happen again, I promise :P

If that wasn't a comment on me being a successful autechre
clone, then "Hey, hows it going."

Respect

Hey progeriak,

I know what you mean, getting hold of GRM Tools etc does
lead to a lot of 'Ahhhh, so THAT's how they get that sound!'
scenarios. It's cool because you realise for the most part
there isn't always a secret and mystical method for getting
those sounds, and secondly that you might be able have the
same effect on listeners unfamiliar with the tools used, as
it had on you the first time you heard such effects.

It's possible though that effects like GRM Tools were only
created to replicate innovative uses of hardware and
software combinations by guys like RDJ & Ae.

My latest song.

Chris.

GRM tools only works in protools, right?

I looked and it kinda made me feel bad for not having
protools loaded onto my puter.

My dear evilish taxiderm...
I never said you were an ae clone. "Doing like..." is
totally useless, doing better is quite impossible and
building something different in electronicmusic becomes
harder and harder.

english effectively is difficult when your french. :P"

Don't worry, I don't care when people tell me I sound like I
am trying to sound like autechre. Reguardless, I didn't
think you had, so no offense was taken in any way. :)

Taxi - you can get GRM Tools in VST form too. I think it's
quite old now - I wish the automation was better, like MIDI
CC for the parameters... It is really good though - but it's
easy to over do it and make loads of Bucephalus Bouncing
Ball-type tunes!

What i've tried to explain IS:

1)DOING AS is useless
2)DOING BETTER is quite impossible
3)DOING somthing DIFFERENT in electronic music becomes
