That's the good thing about sketchiness and writiness - you
just need a bit of paper and a pen, and a temporary absence
of critical faculties.

I do still write, still with the plays, also started writing
short stories recently, see how that goes.. Also started
teaching writing this year - extremely daunting and also
quite a lot of fun. I kind of never thought I'd be a good
teacher, and I'm still not convinced, but I'm also not as
shit as I thought I'd be.

(You should join the Google+, a bunch of the Old Ones hang
out there.)

idea (or I can't remember, if I'm supposed to know it).

I used to live in Utrecht, is that what you want to hear?

I teach in Amsterdam.

Stop prying crazone. You asked Ceri the same type of
question. Couldn't you ask qrter what music he's been
listening to etc. or something that is on topic.

Someone told me about this hilarious game that Ceri JC
started playing, and I had to see it for myself. And then I
got the itch to login again. Taadaa!

Music.. not a lot of excellent electronic music.. I've been
listening to a lot of post-punk things, digging through the
complete catalogues of XTC and Wire.

Thank you. This place has grinded to a halt, but it seems
pleasant, so far.

I'd advise you to read Simon Reynolds' excellent and
comprehensive "Rip It Up And Start Again", which is all
about the post-punk era and the many, many bands. I would
keep Youtube open on my notebook next to me while reading
it, so I could constantly look up bands and music
mentioned.

culture, it's about a timeline of rubbish and greatness.

I have read it and agree with quite a lot of his take on the
21st century but as a book it goes on a bit.

I'm kind of reticent reading it, it seems like an
interesting idea for an essay or article, but for a book..?
