now it's winter, there are little birds there every morning
eating the putty around the edges.

sounded like a good book title.

It is all protein once meat /fuel gets too expensive we will
all be eating insects not giving them to tits,
greater/lesser or coal.

i had tits bashing their brains out. like cock fighting or
something trying to outwit some glass for f*cksake. right
feck'in tools good job they are called...

a cow takes 10 times its weight in feed before slaughter.
locusts provide the same protein for only 1 x its weight.
we'll be eating them.

Energy expended in "catching" locusts would be greater than
an equivalent volume of cow though, surely?

I've eaten insects. I don't get why people are grossed out
by it.

Because it's not normal, in a cultural sense. It's not
rocket science.
