hi, it's me /w my problems again :(. this time it's
photoshop that's giving me headahces...i'm a wiz /w PS5.5,
but this new version is too new, and i'm taking more time
re-learning it than working in it. Anyways, here's my
problem...i messed around with things and set things one
way, and now whenever i create something new these settings
are on the new image...ie. grayscale, or layer
settings...how can i turn these damn things off! i looked
around in help, and what not, but can't seem to figure it
out...

Try to open up the preferences file. it should be in the
photoshop folder somewhere. It's an image that stores all
your settings (pallete locaitons, default colors, etc. When
you change that you change the defaults.
