because you are buying goods that reside in the UK, from a business that is UK based. Just because you happen to live in the US does not mean you are exempt from the taxation. VAT is applied to everything that you have bought from the UK and had shipped over to you. that is economy. i'm surprised that you need it explaining to you, really. |

i was under the impression the tax was only applied if you lived in the UK (or shipping to uk) - not applied wrt explorts. ive never seen the vat outlined on my invoice on any other uk purchase. thanks for the remarks, oscillik. now i known. |
