Probably because the Electronic Music that is "big" atm is
shit (Dubstep).

Because we have been here for over 10 years and are familiar
with all kinds of electronic music. Todays music is not bad,
but it is nothing new to me

I'm working on it..

And @ gingaling: where are those electronic music forums? I
thought we were the only one that is good.

@ revpersona: i think there is some good dubstep around..not
everything is shit.

@ big..idm is dead??? NOOOOOOOOO!!!

He didn't say it, but yes, IDM is dead, and this is now a
place for grieving.

IDM will rise from it's grave..I even think it will be very
big in the next two or three decades.

Nope it's done, it's all about dropping bass now.

that dropped basses will eventually become IDM.

I noticed on a lot of youtube comments people saying how
they got into Squarepusher because Skrillex mentioned him in
a interview. I listened to some of his tracks and you can
hear the influence but they're still really cheesy. At least
more people got to listen to classic Warp and enjoy it
without being forced to.

Hmm dunno if i would call the warp label IDM..

What/who do you consider IDM?

labels like skam..antzen..hymen..rephlex. Warp released a
wider range of music..

offline Sano on 2011-10-03 03:06 [#02421400]

But Rephlex is probably the least experimental of those
labels and you have Autechre on Warp. "Classic" IDM has
been in decline for quite a while but glitch will live
through.

yeah whats in a name right? People will call it differently
but afterall the most of it is just electronic music..
