He keeps dropping em this year. The Power. 2087. Now this! They are all v subtle and deep (lazy, stuck, over the hill, self obsessed, cash hunting you might think but no I am sticking up for him, I prefer natural, deft, measured, considered). for me, many of the beatless ones need sifting out but the 2/3's to 3/4's that's always left is totally excellent soundtrack to parts of life and also parts away from life. it seems that he is still unsurpassed, it seems with lot less effort than most artists. His life/family circumstances must have moulded the tunes in recent years but the source is still pretty pure. This used to be called Funk I think. |
