mixtape worth checking out (the only i checked so far) if
you manage to go past the track with the annoying scratches,
you'll hear some interesting drum jams where basic chords
united with some funky drum mutes and raw cuts make it worth
a play. Arabb style LAZY_TITLE

muslimgauze is some amazing stuff even more amazing as:(from
discogs)
Bryn Jones was not a practicing Muslim and never traveled to
the Middle East. His recordings as Muslimgauze, however,
qualified him as one of the Western artists most explicitly
slanted in favor of the Palestinian liberation movement.
Since the Manchester native’s works were instrumental,
most of the political statement was inherent in the
packaging: witness titles such as Fatah Guerrilla, Return of
Black September, Hebron Massacre, Vote Hezbollah, United
States of Islam, and The Rape of Palestine. Jones’s output
was so idiosyncratic and prolific that he would remix
anything he was given to suit his purposes and recorded an
album almost every week.

sometimes things are never what they seem to be, you have to
look deeper, but if you are wrong then you didn't try hard
enough

some nice bouncy distorted oldschool drums n hats rhythms:)
it wasnt like that in the older releases was it?

mostly ambientish noise.

Lozenge Motif has a nice rolling rhythm & sound.
pretty much like in good minimal wave tracks,
but a bit more appealing to the feet imo.

i'd call it just music, considering that 90% of electronic
music is shit. the few that made to ONE good record should
make up their minds and call it 'music far to fall into the
electronic music' category. really racist towards this.

is this music made with electronic equipment or played with
live instruments? Damn..that aint so hard, is it?

action to be heard despite the obvious post production.
doesn't it?

now playing the track Dar es Salaam off the Dar es Salaam
album LAZY_TITLE

notice how those lazy interventions make the composition
sound nearer than it would sound without them

sounds liek he was dazed by those mosques in the distance,
the flies and the crickets at night time

sounds like he was there, cos he knows the score

the track zeila djibouti (the whole album) shows how much he
was good at fucking with pieces from an external
perspective, next to the stage of production. fucking with
tunes afterwards makes it the the noise becomes part of the
actual composition, forming unexpected patterns that keep
repetitive pieces fresh cos they look they're done by hand.

another funky possibility, syncronized as a human hand can
be after listening a sound and moving something, then
planning repetitive actions between that and the sound that
comes next

placing a long sample and jamming over it, or jamming and
placing a long sample over it kinda makes the same effect. i
found that long landscapes, being nature or urban ones works
well over dance rhythms too, not only in simil - raga music
like 'arabbox' off the album 'arabbox'
