i was wondering how common it is for people to only be able to work when under the influence of lord caffeine.
like maybe there's a section of the population who don't want to accept they have ADHD and self-medicate by drinking shiteloads of coffees.
anyway, i think i might be one of those people. perhaps though it's a conditioning thing.

when I give up caffeine I got real tired, i slept for near 2 days and watched tv in bed for the times i was awake. ( errg) , but on the otherside afterward , I forgot it quite quickly. If you get a blender and blend up grapefruit oranges and green leaves of some type you'll get a natural buzz that kicks lord caffine up the butt. and it will extend your healthy life for many years too.

Yes. People with adhd have a higher resting state, and the stimulants help bring them closer to being 'normal'. I sometimes use caffeine to help me sleep.

Caffeine can't help after energy stores are depleted, so it's good to lay off for awhile and gain usable energy through sleep, then boost with caffeine. THEN, it works well. Tons of coffee inadvertently makes one tired. Laying off for a few days makes a huge difference.
I used to drink around 10 cups a day (60+ oz), and I used to put instant coffee into my brewed coffee. I'm now quite minimal with coffee and AT MOST drink 30 oz a day, rarely.
Ma huang (ephedra) on the other hand... that shit is quite serious. I've blacked out taking tons of ephedra pills before they were banned, but it also used to help me work on music for 16 hours straight and stay up for a few days. Just a bit of that and hair stands on end and body is filled with exhilaration and enthusiasm. Shit makes coffee its bitch.

maybe one, if i am short on rest. i try not to give in to the addictiveness(sp?) of caffeine. if i need energy for several hours, i will go for a 5 hour energy. if i am hungover, i will go for a rockstar recovery, so as to hydrate, cuz that is important. mainly tho, i just try and use sheer willpower to get through a little slump during a shift.
