VENETIAN SNARES - NEW LIVE SHOW

The badman returns to Manchester! February 26th sees a rare
visit in the North of England from Aaron Funk, the prolific
Canadian DJ and producer best known for his ground-breaking
work as Venetian Snares. In terms of legends, they don't
come much bigger...Funk has released a total of 22 albums
(mostly through Mike Paradinas' pioneering Planet Mu label),
20 singles and has been credited by the late John Peel as
the man responsible for re-inventing breakcore. His
otherworldly sound is hard to place - spanning dark
orchestral, hyper-speed jungle and grating noise and often
recorded in unusual time signatures such as 7/4 - furious
rhythms that still retain a killer dancefloor edge. This
will be the 1st time that Aaron has played live in
Manchester...as you will agree, unmissable!

NEIL LANDSTRUMM

Since his first releases in the early 1990's Neil has grown
to be one of the most consistent and respected electronic
music producers, releasing his bleep heavy take on techno,
dubstep and rave on a diverse range of labels including
Tresor, Peacefrog and most recently Mike Paradinas' Planet
Mu imprint.

head since his first release on Manchester's Skam in 2009.
All we know is that he produced one of the albums of 2010
with Trademark Ribbons of Gold, with it's icy spikes of
digital gli
