We had a an earthquake here last year that wiped a medieval city. It was pretty intense and I woke up in the middle of the night with walls shaking even if the epicenter was like 200km away. I kept having the sensation of feeling earthquakes for months, I was just imagining it. The fear for quakes must be deeply rooted in us humans |

Just the other day we had aftershocks that came one per hour... they were far from 7.1 (4.9 or so) but the epicenter was just near my house! It was a mess!!! But my building is fine.... all my books feel down etc... some buildings in the central city were damaged again |

haha yeah.. but you know the recent earthquake was at a previously unknown fault! In Egypt, fairly earthquake free, there was a big one in 1992 when I was a kid. I will probably go to a safer place and get hit by a car! |
