I froze during the 7.1 one... we just had 2 smaller ones
now - I stood at the door even though I was told it was no
good in my flat!

new zealand is sinking!

(of course, that's not funny if your location isn't
current.)

We had a an earthquake here last year that wiped a medieval
city. It was pretty intense and I woke up in the middle of
the night with walls shaking even if the epicenter was like
200km away. I kept having the sensation of feeling
earthquakes for months, I was just imagining it.

The fear for quakes must be deeply rooted in us humans

Just the other day we had aftershocks that came one per
hour... they were far from 7.1 (4.9 or so) but the epicenter
was just near my house! It was a mess!!! But my building is
fine....
all my books feel down etc...
some buildings in the central city were damaged again

haha yeah.. but you know the recent earthquake was at a
previously unknown fault! In Egypt, fairly earthquake free,
there was a big one in 1992 when I was a kid. I will
probably go to a safer place and get hit by a car!
