Last weekend I blew up my bose speakers at a party. No
problem: they only costed me 20 euro's but now I need some
good second hand speakers in a price range of from 50 to 150
euro's. Any good advise??

id advise you to prelisten, cause everyone has different
preferences. will you try to get them off e-bay?

maybe its the best to go to a local shop, give a listen,
then have a look for bargains in the net.
im also curious what recommendations youll receive.

i only know my JBL control extreme (which sound pretty
and clean) but i cant always get a decent bass out of em
when i turn up the volume to a very high degree.
the lows may turn to rumble then and since you blew up the
last ones, they might not be the right ones for you^^
new JBL Monitors are about 100€ a pair, but im sure there
might be something better.

I bought the JBL 400p ipod docking station and I'm amazed at
the volume and bass such a small unit is able to produce.
Don't let its size fool you. The thing can fill up a large
room of 100m² without any problem.

I must admit that it is a bit expensive. 250 euro's. though
maybe you can get it cheaper second hand if you're lucky.
but later on when I get a projector I'll have a pretty nice
system.

@ gingaling : those fostex look nice..the krk even better
but those are studio monitors right? Can i use them also as
overall speakers?

@ Isnietzot: i dont want a docking station: I want my music
to play straight of my computer.

@ijonspeches : I think I'll visit some shops and give it a
listen first...or maybe I'll buy it off marktplaats :-) The
place I got my bose speakers from.

the KRK are sweet, XLR, 1/4 jack or phono input, can use em
as you would any speaker. go for it.

Hate krk. If you want a consumer speaker buy a consumer
speaker. If you want a studio monitor buy a studio monitor.
If you want a pa speaker, buy a pa speaker. Don't spend
money on something that does a mediocre job at all three.
