hello

whats the best drum machine to use? i'm looking for an empty
one, usable like the reason redrum, mostly that lets me load
any audio sample. i want to add some other drum sound to the
traditional 808-909-303 sounds.

here's an example LAZY_TITLE

and a nice link i just found via soundcloud. check out the
first mix LAZY_TITLE

It can be used alone, and Reason 5 has had good audio
improvements. But I agree using it with Rewire is best. I
did a little work using Cubase and Reason and I am planning
on Sonar.

Try the Tube for tracks: Hearing Music

here's my today's theory.

the more my laptop gets older, the more Logic gitches

therefore

the less i update, the more my music gets better

At 15 I first used Cakewalk (Sonar's old name and company
name). It is very different and much more powerful now
though. But Cubase/Logic etc... are similar in power.

and fl studio 5 for beats. it's awesome.

but yeah, battery is where it's at if you're really serious.

mohamed i do not use any vst/au drum sample machines (i use
the buzzmachines like matilde tracker for sample drums) but
i think a good vst drum synth machine is drumatic 3.....i
think thats the name? sadly it has some problems with my
computer setup wither buzz or wine i dunno but only on the
kick drum for some reason? if you put kick drum settings in
the 2nd snare drum it sounds fine whichs weird and drumatic
2 works without no problems but its not close to as good!!

but for honest i dont like to have all my drum sounds coming
out of one source thing i like them separate so i can put
there own effects and stuff

If you use Logic, use EXS24, yo. Cuz it uh... comes with
it.

you simply trigger the samples with midi. and you can
automate most of the knobs with midi also.

you mean the only way is to play them via the keyboard? no
start/stop button?

Well, you can input the notes to the piano roll too. I
recommend Battery myself. ADSR & Tuning for each cell
(sample slot), not to mention per sound fx and global fx. I
don't use any of the pre-packed sounds, but not because they
aren't good.

i've thought about it. it's not that i'm lazy this time
i think that battery is not what i'm looking for
i need something to program while it plays, so to make the
programming itself dynamic, otherwise i can pack all of my
little organic lies and get laid maybe

Uh, Logic also has Ultrabeat, which is a drum machine type
sampler than can play loops within itself. But really,
EXS24 has tons of depth to it.

i don't even know when i'll retry. when i do, i'll try the
ones that come with Logic. if i don't like, i'll go see what
other forums have to offer. this is my final decision for
this thread

i forgot to add something useless to say, that if you don't
do something into a way you know you can remember, you can
say goodbye to your dreams about learning to make music, or
anything else for that matter.

i'm out with the dogs, brb

seems that Ultrabeat is unable samples in it?

anybody, an empty drum machine to load drum samples?

i'm not bothering with EXS24, never used a sampler to make
loops
