Aiigth just wanted to grab your attention...but check it, im in a bad moood today nah mean..and I was thinking about this.. that a lot of big "underground" artists starts small independent labels (on their own like that MEN label) to release a lot of unreleased material. Like compilations, remixes , etc on that label for the fuck of it, because it gives people a great chance to get their hands on all their unreleased material (including hard older to find songs, etc...) It's an ingenious idea, really... and the only reason AFX and other haven't done it is either because: A) They are severely limited with their material and productivity B) They have no sense of autonomy C) They are lazy D) All of the above Like most multiple-choice questions, the answer is D for the majority of our population. If you picked any of the other choices, then you need to get your ass in gear and make something work for yourself. Yeah I know that AFX got shitloads of tracks liek 1000 or more = enough good material hanging around his house to make 60 or more DOPE ASS CDs!!!! I know he got other business to tend at the moment to.... like official albums. These CDs could be used just to keep the people up to date with what has already happened and where hes heading as an artist. Feelin me? Everbody knows that AFXs got shitloads of DOPE material....OR!? FUCK that Bull shit that he doesnt what other people than his friends to hear his music. |

quality control.......I know independent artists that release like one on a major label and atleast 3 ALBUMS on their own label (and almost everything is quality) in 2 years "Sage Francis" for example. AFX got some quality tracks, right!? He said he got tons of tracks like Byydonchord, but he didnt like them (he didnt want to release them) because they was too simple, but I mean his fans like those small tracks a lot what ive seen!!!!!! IZ-Us, Flim, Byydonchord etc etc Release those for the fans atleast. |

I respect what you say Arch. But to me a lot of drukqs was just showing off: everyone lookatme edit the shit out of this machine. And a good number of smaller tracks were just undeveloped ideas. Some piano tracks are just too "so what" for me. He prolly has 200-300 more of those on his HD. But again, If you like them, I happy for you. If he realises those, that won't hurt me, fo sho. |

Shit...the guys been going for 10 yrs, has already released 100s of tracks (a large portion you probably won't have heard...)..so why not track those down if you want new aphex?... And it's not as if there isn't a ton of good music outthere other than rdj you could explore...get into that rather than moan at poor old rdj for being lazy... Anyway...it's only 5 minutes since drukqs was released...I'm still savouring the flavour of that... |

jand: I got every official Aphex Twin release either on CD, Vinyl or mp3 (and I think most of the members on this forum got them). Jand: NAME ONE "SUPER RARE" AFX track that we havent heard or got on mp3? He can RELEASE WAY MORE material!!! I know he could sell at least 5000 copies a month if he released a new ALBUM/EP every month heehehehe ;) NOw that would be a perfect AFX DOSE!!! He got a big fan base and he know that, why dont he release old tracks, he got a easylistening album finished back in the days, common release all this good stuff on MEN ......NOW we need more APHEX ACID!!! |

Yeah I know theres a lot of good music out there to explore (theres a lot of shit too) but I can definitly say that RDJ is in a class of his own. We all need more AFX!!! We waited from 96 to 2001 fo a full length so common be more prolific now please.... |

RDJs the artist he is because he doesn't hang around in one place too long...how boring would it be if he just released more 4 on the floor stuff, that's just tired & played out nowdays and anyone with FL's could produce that...now that would've been dissapointing... I say 10/10 for keeping things fresh and moving forward... There must be something special about this album for it to generate all these threads still after however many months it is... |

I know im overplaying it a bit.. but I feel like I was let down so badly by Drukqs... for years Ive wanted a new full CD by AFX and I got this garbage! i mean some.. SOME songs are OK... but its filler and..... not interesting for me. I dont want him to do more hardfloor or whatever, but anything more interesting than Drukqs was... older style.... harder beats. |

Yo its like this, he said in a interview that the big problem that he had with this music biz is the promoting, interviews etc etc. Why cant he just release shit loads like than MEN1, those remixes did well and it had no promotion at all, he didnt talked about em, took any pics hyped or whatever....Now when he got that MEN label he and Tom can release shitloads, collabos, remixes whatever whatever..........without anyone telling him what to do (promote, interviews, commercial stuff, how his stuff should sound etc). Plus he got rephlex to release AFXs stuff. Maybe Astrobotnia is a Ovuca/AFX collabo? ;) He said he only released music to make money...aiitght now he have the chance to make money without promoting it. |

ive heard that 1) all afxs unreleased stuff is at least as ggod as his released stuff (i think mike p said this) 2) he has lots of really weird shit he hasnt subjected the public to yet why the fuck isnt eh releasing it? but then again, stakking up loads of trqacks isnt that hard, ive oly been trackiing for...5 years? or 3 or 4 i dunno, but ive already gone over the 3000 mark. easily. dunno, im in an aggressive modd aswell, plz excuse typing. :) |
