good. the drummer is incredible, although playing the rest of the tune from a computer is kind of tricky... at least the jenkinsonman is playing unbelievable sounds out of his bass. ill let you know when they broadcast the aphex session (if they do) |

now i get it, somehow the ghost of zappa must have taken possession of tom! this feels even a lot more like a band than "hello everything", which was great with live drum & bass at STRP & is a great album too imo. like to have such a recording of that one. also the drummer in this one feels a bit too distinctive, but might have sounded better in the crowd. while i dont like the jenkster going further in this fusion direction, (especially combined with the disto-electric guitar sounds,) i think id have enjoyed that show if it was at my doorstep. |

hello charlie, yes, squarepusher is amazing sound live, but i always get the feeling of it being a little bit tricky, playing half of the tune from a computer without variation... at least this time there was a live drummer and the jenkinson played incredible sound out of his bass (did i already said this?). In the ultravisitor tour i was more disappointed, as he was just playing the tunes exactly with the same sound, but just with worse bass playing...bla |
