Right. I know xltronic is not a blog siter but I don't
care. Should I move out of my house tomorrow after a week?
Here's thje deal? I have no living room. no washing
facilities and almost no housemates to speak of. Everyone
spends all their time in their mooms sitting alone. I dont
see them and barely hear them,! If I am lucky I bump in to
one in the kitchen while they are making a cup of coffee or
some food./ There asre some people that have moved in that I
habvent even seen yet!

So its this: I need people to talk to and somehwere that
sint my room to go and spend time, this maters has wuiped me
out. ill be spending six night sa week in the house , i canr
do that in this dull soul destroying place!! Fcuk it im
leaving. thanks for being t place for my cathartic relief if
that is the expression.

That's interesting, cuz I'm the type who would be in my room
90% of the time. Actually in 2002, my roommate, who was
renting my room, didn't renew my lease, cuz I was mostly in
my room (working on chooonz) and he wanted more of a buddy
bud kind of roomie .

I can't spend an entire year in my room. I'll go mad. MAD.

Sorry, this is not the place to do this sort of thing.
Excuse my drunkenness.

LOL, my uni mates were a bit like that at first, but
everyone opened up eventually and we all became good,
lifelong friends! Maybe make an effort to knock on everyones
door and arrange some sort of meal/event together? It's
worth a shot, since I don't think you can really know and
judge a person after a week, especially if you've hardly
spoken. They might be writing the same thing on another
website/blog haha!

Saying that, no washing facilities/living room is a real
bummer.

I would organise a meal with them but our kitchen table only
seats three so we'd have to do it in shifts. The people I
lived with in the first three years were fine and I'm sure
these guys are too, it really is the prospect of having to
spend ALL my time in my room. I can't even use the internet
anywhere else than at my desk because it's wired with a
socket assigned to each mac address.

If I live with freshers they'll be nearly a decade younger
than me. Maybe I'll stay where I am.

No no, I meant a meal at a restaurant of sorts, so everyone
gets out of the house and has a chance to bond (read: drink
alcohol). Best chance to do it whilst you have your loan
money, afterall. Any women in your house, or are they all
men? If it's the latter, then I can see the problem.

LOL @ the pygym kitchen table. Haha, it sounds like typical
student accomodation. I lasted a year at mine when I was at
uni and simply ran out of money! I also hated living like a
pikey.

I don't think I could live with freshers, personally. Not
anymore. How did you find the house anyway? Did you not get
a chance to look at it before, or did the student accom
people just put you in it?

I'm post grad now, I get no loans! Broke as all buggery my
friend! It's all men. All international students.

The accommodation office sorted it. They did fine in the
first year of my degree and set me up in a great place
(albeit with a tiny room).

haha, oh man, that's no good, especially if they're
chinese/east asian, in which case they probably have no
intention of talking to you and will just spend the whole
year studying. none stop.

not sure what i'd do in that situation either. on the one
hand, it's a really good opportunity to get a years worth of
music done (i left my last studio job in late 2008 to
pretty much lock myself away and do exactly that). i learnt
more in that 6 months than i did in about 5 years... though
i did juggle it with my freelance design work too, which
actually paid the bills \o/

on the other hand, you may go insane. glad i'm not you!
