In the years since he's been anything but dormant, releasing chunky, loopy, dub and funk-inspired techno on his own labels Ernst, Max Ernst, and Max, as well as several acclaimed LPs under his Soul Center alias on W. v. B., NovaMute, and most recently Shitkatapult. With his new album "General Eclectics" just out, Thomas returns to SF for the first time in years to deliver a rare live performance as creative and unique as the artist himself. and from Stockholm, Sweden: ::: JOEL MULL ::: (Drumcode, Truesoul, Cocoon, Liebe*Detail, Audiomatique) Techno veteran Joel Mull comes to us from Stockholm, home of fellow artists Adam Beyer, Jesper Dalback, and Cari Lekebusch who helped define the Swedish techno sound that nearly took over the world in the late '90s. Joel's always been the gentler one of the group, leaning towards the deep, groovy, and melodic side of things without ever sacrificing that signature Scandinavian oomph.
